What's on your Sunday menu, RNYers?
Good morning froom the snowy cornfields in Illinois. It's miserably cold here and we got about 7 inches of snow with occassional flurries still going on. Lily and I couldn't get to the park this morning because of big drifts and covered sidewalks so we've done 30 minutes of street walking and will do more after lunch and before supper. It has to be better than the silly hour I did on the treadmill yesterday. Oh so boring! Accountability was good yesterday step and foodwise even though I have mini pumpkin pies in my house I have not eaten any. Hubby and son cleaned driveways yesterday and came home with two homemade crust deep dish apple pies from the best pie maker in town. She used to run a restaurant and people from other places would order her pies for their holiday gettogethers. I'm dying here--I baked one for the guys last night--but I will NOT eat any. Hubby was nice though as he could have had bread pudding which is my absolute favorite and he took pie instead. Yummy but not quite as much temptation. Weight today is 124.6. Heres todays food B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 1 c chili D 4 oz pork riblets 1/4c green beans S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. I didn't get all my liquids in--had 78 ozs and like to get at least 100 so that's a goal today. QOTD my oats for breakfast. It keeps me full and is nice and warm and I need the fiber too. Have a good day everyone and make your very best choices!

Good morning everybody. We got about five inches of snow yesterday. More than they were expecting but not a Snowmageddon. I went swimming yesterday and don't seem to be having any joint problems as a result of it, so I am going to try again. I've also been trying this black cherry extract that is supposed to help minimize incidence of gout attacks. Its too early too see if that is helping. In the meantime its nice to be able to walk up and down stairs, sit down unassisted, and get in and out of my car without problems.
Today we are celebrating my youngest son's 15th birthday. We are going to a burger place and I will get chili.
QOTD: Turkey meatballs from Trader Joe's, cottage cheese and EBB for breakfast most days.
Breakfast: Sausage
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: Supposed to be Pot Roast, but I'm skeptical
Snack: Light and fit
Dinner: Chili
Have a great day all.

That was a great movie - I'd see it again too!
I am driving a friend to the airport then picking up SIL 2 hours later. In between I will poke around shops and try to use restraint (LOL). So the day is chunked up a bit. It is going to be gorgeous: sunny and warm here in Florida so it would have been a good beach day but the schedule does not allow for that. There will be more of them though!
QOTD: Cottage Cheese is my biggest staple. I love the stuff and seem to find new ways of using it all the time.
2 Years 9.5 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years, 1.5 months)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: Leftover basa, a local white, mild, soft fish. We went to a local place for dinner last night and I had it and liked it. Clean but basic place, so low prices.
S: sweetened cottage cheese

Good morning everyone! Yesterday my chili came out AMAZING, but I sure am up on the scale today. I think with all the tasting and other eating - even though on plan things I probably way overdid the salt and calories. This morning is my Patriots v Chargers and I'm making a batch buffalo wings. Then I will skip the afternoon game to go get my way overdue pedi followed by laundry and pack/plan for the week. It should be an easy mellow week - no appts or meetings! Easy-peasy, but tons of rain, rain, rain. No worries, any excuse to wear boots and sweaters everyday!
QOTD - Right now, yogurt. I use it so many ways, but I love it for breakfast. If I have something else for breakfast, I instantly regret not having yogurt and I miss it so much! I also love it to replace ice cream as an evening snack - I freeze it - LOVE it this way. I had the creme brulee flavor frozen last night and it was wonderful. I also use plain yogurt w/fruit, for dips and salad dressing.
Accountability - Lots of extra BLTS and a very high sodium day. Today should be better.
