Nauseas all the time 4 weeks post op
I am 4 weeks out now and this last week I started getting nauseas all day long. I will have an hour or two where I am not too bad and try to eat but honestly, I am getting about 1/2 cup of soup and if I am lucky my full protein shake and on a great day I might get in 1 litre of water. Good news is, this week I lost 7 1/2 lbs but I worried that it's just not enough to sustain me. I'm feeling fine other than the nauseas feeling.
I will reinforce what the two previous posters have said, the cause may be, in order of probability;
1) Dehydration (especially sense you said on a GREAT day you get in 1 liter of waterwhich translates to only 33 oz, you need 64 oz)
of
2) A stricture, which would need to be addressed by your doctor
I would really work on getting in as much water as you can, but if you are still feeling this way in a couple of days, contact your doctors office. You do not want to let dehydration or strictures go on unchecked.
Best of luck and I hope you are able to resolve this soon, keep us updated!

Also came to reiterate dehydration. Have you tried fluids of differing temperatures? I was a bit nauseous in the beginning too, but hot peppermint and ginger herbal teas (decaf) helped with nausea and I was able to drink the hot liquid better than cold or room temp. Give it a try! If it persists, definitely contact your doctor about a possible stricture or nausea management. Mine gave me a prescription for zolfran

Sorry to hear that, Springer. It must be a misery for you. I had a stressful day today and neglected to eat or drrink much. Now I am ready to drop from exhaustion, so I can only imagine how your poor body must be feeling. I would advise you to contact your medical team asap so that they can help you out. It's no fun suffering alone.
Hope you are better soon x
