Dinner Ideas - Philly cheese steak stuffed bell peppers

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to share a quick recipe. I thought they were very good.

Philly cheese steak stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients:

3 Bell Peppers

1 onion

12 slices Provolone Cheese

1 clove of garlic

14 oz of shredded steak

Directions:

Pre-heat over to 325 degrees

Cut bell peppers in half and scoop out insides

Cook bell peppers in oven for 30 minutes

Chop up 1/4 of a medium onion and place in pan over medium heat

add 1 clove of chopped/minced garlic

add in shredded steak and cook completely

Once bell peppers are out, place 1 slice of provolone cheese inside each pepper

fill peppers with steak mixture

place 1 more slice of cheese over mixture

broil for 3 minutes

done - makes 6 servings

285 calories

10.1 g fat

6.5 g carbs

11.1 g protein

I make these a lot in the summer when my garden is producing peppers. Yum!

Lol I do a lot of different kinds of stuffed peppers when I have them coming at me by the bucketful lol...chicken fajita, taco, Italian (Italian sausage and tomato sauce), etc

Same here. My garden produced mass amounts of peppers until the very end so I cut the peppers in half, gutted them and make these often. So yummy and so easy!

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

That looks pretty amazing! I bet it'd work great on stuffing a big portabello mushroom cap instead of a pepper if you wanted to also. Thanks for the recipe!
