Good morning! I skipped the gym this morning due to a headache, so I'll go tonight instead.
I'm now out of training at my job and I have a desk, but it's on loan--there's a shortage because the company is growing in my city and the building is under construction, so there's not enough desk space. I'm sitting at a desk that belongs to someone on paternity leave, so I'll be moving soon. Basically, I've been advised not to get too comfortable yet. Otherwise, I still love it. I feel like I can approach anyone around me to ask for help with something I don't know (which is still a lot!)
qotd: honestly, I didn't notice a change in sleep.
menu:
fridays they serve hot breakfast at work, and it was some kind of sausage egg scramble. Then coffee
lunch was listed as sloppy joes on the menu, which I'm not so big on, so I'll likely hit up the salad bar today. There's usually diced grilled chicken on the salad bar.
Dinner is up in the air, I'm on my own tonight. Might just do a turkey burger.
photo is of the desk gifts I received from my team once I was out of training: a cute little cactus, and a phone charging stand :)

I am so behind on everyone's situations, where are you working now? Regardless, super glad you hear that people are welcoming, I always feel like coworkers are one of the most important factors in determining if you will be happy at a job or not. Bad coworkers and you can forget it lol

Agreed! I hate being new in an environment where I feel like nobody likes new people, but it seems like a very helpful environment where people want each other to succeed.
I now work for LinkedIn doing business support--I assist people with paid company recruiting accounts :)

G'morning menu folks!
Daisy - happy you are doing better.
Busy weekend. Today DD left for DC. In the past this would have triggered me to binge but I just feel the sadness and try not to compensate or fix it by eating. Her stay at home was so short that I feel like I barely saw her. But I told her I'll go to DC for spring break or shortly after if she has plans for spring break.
I thought my hot chocolate race (15K) is next weekend. Good thing my calendar beeped st me as a reminder that it's THIS Sun. Oops! So if you guys don't hear from me on Mon it means I'm dead. I thought I had two weeks back in US to retrain but I was wrong. Although we walked a lot during va action I don't feel ready. Well, it is what it is. My friend and I bought these running shirts that say "I run for chocolate"!
QOTD: never had problems sleeping and that hasn't changed. I fall asleep literally 10 seconds after my head hits the pillow and if I don't have an alarm I keep sleeping. If I have work issues or stressed about something, is another matter. Then I wake up in the middle of the night.
B: protein coffee
L: tuna+hard boiled egg
S: parm cheese
D: grilled chicken + veggies
The pics are from Siena - I decided to concentrate on one city each Friday otherwise I would share too many pics and bore you guys. We love the streets in Siena. That little restaurant was a little gem we found.
