Hey meat menu makers! How are you all?

Me=crappy. I ended up going to Emerg yesterday, was there for 6 hours (long story) and still was not migraine free when I left. Daisy is not a happy lady. But onward...

Accountability: I didn't eat yesterday I was so sick and was low on fluids so today is about getting in as much fluids as I can.

QOTD: What is something you see on others menu's and wish you liked that food? I live in Canada and we don't have Trader Joe's here and so Empie sent me some of the TJ's EBB spice (Everything But the Bagel) and I just did not like it (sorry Kelly!). I see so many of you use it on your egg salad or cottage cheese or other recipes and wish I liked it! But nope!

Good morning! I'm sorry they are not able to help you feel better; I think migraines must be the worst. Good luck getting all your liquids in!

Accountability - I got in a walk i wasn't expecting so that was good and I didn't have my planned snack so good on protein/carbs and a little bit lower on calories than planned.

QOTD - I would say fish in general, I see such interesting salads/meals with tuna or crab but I just do not like it at all; I'm also not a huge cottage cheese fan but I will occasionally add it to things.

Exercise today - I have a toning class and balanced lotus (aerial flexibility class). This will be the second time I'm doing two classes in a row which I am pretty psyched about!

Menu today

coffee + half and half X2, 1 tea with half and half and then tea all day

Breakfast - 4 oz austrian goulash

L - L&F greek, Volpi Roltini

D - 4 oz ever roast deli chicken, .6 oz Provolone

Morning all. Apparently Daisy and I were typing at the same time, so I deleted my post and will paste most of it in here...

Morning menu folks! I see that Daisy hasn't started things this morning and I know that we all hope she is resting and feeling better from her long stretch of migraine pain. Sorry that you're not Daisy!

I'm at home again today and hoping to get in some telework time. DW isn't doing well even though the news wasn't a big surprise. Just trying to check in frequently and have my caring shoulder handy.

I switched up my exercise yesterday. Since I was home, I ended up going to the gym and working out with my trainer for an hour rather than having a cyber session. I really pushed myself even when the weights seemed like I wouldn't be able to finish the set. Helped me to feel proud of myself!

Daisy's QOTD: I have some lactose intolerance and while I like the taste of cottage cheese and some yogurt, my tummy just won't either of them or milk. Sometimes I get lactose free cottage cheese and I've gotten soy yogurt but the carbs are outrageous! I can eat some cheese thankfully.

QOTD2: I could SO relate to Daisy's question yesterday about being cold. So today another question in that vein...do you wear a hat in the winter? I dreadfully hate hat hair, the flat result from wearing a warm hat in the winter, but I hate being cold even more! Also just for fun...what color is your winterwear? And does it all match? I usually have had a black winter coat but when I bought the new one this year, I got a burgundy one. I switch out gloves occasionally but usually wear gray ones. I also switch out hats alot but a couple of them match my coat...what a fashionista!

Menu:

B: I'm trying Jen's suggestion of cold brew coffee this morning and I was able to drink a cup without any tummy distress. I'm planning to be careful though since my coffee seems to be an issue now. I've also had some ham.

S: salmon jerky, HB egg

L: probably some TJs chicken sausages add baby carrots since I'm home

S: protein shake

D: either a beef roast or pork tenderloin

Exercise: it's sunny but the winds are gusting over 40 mph so I'd like to do a run on the treadmill rather than an outside walk!

Thanks for the reminder! I need that! It's so easy to get lost in all that there is to do and forget time for me.

I have been thinking about both of you. I am glad you can be there for DW and like Hillary says below...take care of you too!

QOTD2: I can't do hats now with my short hair so luckily it doesn't get too cold here to need one. I have several jackets and over-sized sweaters so I can usually match. I have a cream and black pea-coats.

It's funny you mention not being able to do the hats with short hair -- I've kept my hair short for years because I thought it would be easier than longer hair -- now that my hair is long, I find that it's so much easier to deal with --- I don't get crazy bed head; it goes back to normal quickly after wearing a hat or taking it out of a headband....I would still rather have it short but it's so easy now, I can't bring myself to chop it off again.

Happy Thursday Eve,

Sorry, you didn't get relief Daisy, maybe today will be the day.

Busy day for us. Wor****il 3, the dermatologist at 4 and the dentist at 5:30. Hope everyone is running on time today so our appointment times run smoothly.

QOTD #1: I don't like fish. I wish I did. I even have a hard time with tuna but I eat it occasionally.

QOTD#2: I absolutely wear a hat. I got a new pretty knit hat with a pompom and pearls on it for Christmas. It's so pretty and I love it, especially when I am outside for recess with the kiddos.

B: fried egg (in my new copper skillet and it didn't stick!) with vitamins

32 ounces of water

L: RealGood pepperoni and cheese poppers (trying something new)

32 ounces of water

D: probably a clean out of the freezer night I think there is soup or chili in there

Have a great day!

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!
