Day 11 - Post-Holiday Reset - AMAW/CAMAW - Back to Basics
Morning challenge folks! How was your weekend? Do you find weekends easier or harder to stay on plan? Weekends are usually harder for me because there is less routine and it's easier to just grab things that aren't good choices. I also tend to make a full pot of coffee in the morning and then drink it throughout the day rather than switching to water.
I did much better yesterday than Saturday, other than getting enough water. I avoided the carbs and only had 2 portions of fruit. We had a 6 oz filet for lunch and that was really nice and kept me satisfied.
Cheering for you all that you make good choices today!

Mornin' All!
well I had just over 1500 kcal yesterday (the low end of my maintenance range), did an hour of Jazzercise, and am UP half a pound today. Feeling super waterlogged again. That's two pounds in two days. Not sure if it was a delayed reaction, or if I've potentially got some kidney issue going on (??). This is seriously beginning to drive me insane. I have my annual physical coming up in about a month - I'll be sure to ask her about it. ARRRGGGH.
I'm planning to do some kind of exercise this morning, then run a couple of errands and then bus downtown to meet a friend. I just got my city bus pas that is a perk of my emeritus status and am beyond excited to start using it (I know this sounds nuts, but....). Other than that...??
re: weekend vs. weekday eating: now that I'm retired, it really doesn't make much difference. I probably thought about food less when I was working, though, since I would have had my mind on other things.
today's menu:
B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with 1/4 mango, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: homemade cottage cheese
D: homemade butter chicken over riced cauliflower
ex: I'm thinking Aqua Zumba (there's a class later this morning)
