Day 10 - Post-Holiday Reset - AMAW/CAMAW - Back to Basics
Running to an appointment this morning and then going to do a run at the lake, but I wanted to get the thread started this morning before I head out.
I am happy to say that after my "confession" post yesterday afternoon, I did get things back on the rails, had a 32 oz mug of herbal tea and some water to add to all of my coffee. I had an after dinner snack of a Stryve Beef Biltong stick, but that's it. I'm okay with that.
Some of today's eating is a bit up in the air, but I'm packing in some Chomps and string cheese for emergencies and I've already had some breakfast...a good start.
How are you doing? We're here cheering you on!

Thank you for starting these threads. I am glad you were able to get back on plan. I had this moment last night were I went horribly off plan and I just had this moment of thinking/wishing someone were there to pull me back off the ledge but I realized that it is up to me and only me to not go off plan. It is good to be reminded that we all struggle but there can be victories in this but it is not one moment but rather many many moments we will be faced with. We can always start again when faced with a new choice, a new moment, a new day.
I have been horribly tired and not getting my exercise in the past few days. I know that even getting a mild walk on the treadmill indoors would do wonders so I am going to try to get that in today at some point.
My goal today is to stay protein forward. I am drinking my protein shake for the morning now but we are celebrating a birthday today of one of the children and a lot of his birthday choices are carb heavy, (which is fine for a 16 year old 6ft plus young man but sadly not his mama, lol). I will have protein choices available though so it will just take some self control.
Good morning. I am so glad that you did this Back to Basics, thank you for organizing it. Last week i dropped 3.6 pounds after a two week stall and I am starting to feel that I am no longer mourning cream.

Thanks, Jen. My Baritrician doesn't give weight goals, so my number was pretty unscientific. I am going to just keep plugging away at least until my six month appointment at the end of February and see what she says then.

Happy Sunday! Turkey bacon and eggs for brunch/lunch, and probably won't eat until dinner when I have salmon marinating. I need to focus on water today.
dinner last night was chili, so not strictly CAMAW, but it was thick and hearty with lots of ground beef and turkey, so it had plenty of protein. I'm suspecting a lot of sodium as well though, since my ankles look a bit puffy and my weight was up today. Hoping to flu**** out with a lot of water today and we'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
