What's on your menu today SATURDAY RNYers?
hi all
surgeon appt went really well and then met with the nut after. Surgeon was not concerned with my weight at all-said I looked beautiful and healthy and strong.wahoo
Nut seems to think 1200 cal a day for loss is low so wants to explore that.. we will see.
Food for today is kind of open, I am leaving later for errands and to go adopt our new pup. more to come on that.
coffee
water
more coffee
protein pancakes
turkey
Maybe roast for dinner? not sure
Aldi had some awesome port roasts for $4 each so bought 2 of them- yumm.
Hi Hillary -
I knew your surgeon wouldn't care. For one thing, you look great - very strong and healthy - and for another, they know that almost everyone has a bounce back after hitting bottom. We were "warned" about that during our pre-op classes, and my surgeon reacted the same way when I went back for my third-year checkup after gaining 12 lbs - he basically just shrugged and said "it happens to almost everyone". He wasn't concerned *at all*. Plus, you've still lost way more than predicted, since they only predict about a 70% loss (of excess weight). Even with my 12 lb gain, my surgeon said I was good for his stats!
that whole calorie thing is so individual. I would guess at your height and with your musculature, you can handle more than some of us on here, but who knows. I'll lose if I drop below 1500 (right now I'm (slowly) losing on more than that, but then, I was overshooting my normal calorie range pretty consistently over the holidays)
Accountability - another drop in weight this morning - YAY!! I didn't even do that well yesterday (I did OK - but not great), so I was pleasantly surprised!
we're going to a kickoff thing for one of the mayoral candidates tonight from 5-7 pm, so I'm not sure what that's on tap for dinner since they'll probably have appetizer-type stuff there (so I may not actually eat dinner), but here's what i know:
3 years 7 months out:
B: homemade coconut Greek yogurt with 1/3 mango, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: homemade cottage cheese
AS: I may have a couple of protein peanut butter balls or a small bowl of TJ's High Fiber cereal - (both of those are super filling and will help keep me in line at that mayoral event later)
D: ?? (if we're home, then probably turkey meatballs & zoodles)
have a good day, everyone!!
Good morning menu friends! Breakfast is done and Miss Lily and I have our 4 miles in. We'll do another mile at some point today too. Accountability good yesterday both step and foodwise. Menu changed but stayed in range and steps was well over 10,000. Weight today was 124.8--I had to go back to see stats but down 1.6 pounds since last Saturday. Slow progress but at least it's headed in the right direction! Such hard work though but without my surgery it would be impossible. Heres the food for today B1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L1 slice turkey 1 slice cheese 4 grape tomatoes D insides of a crab stuffed bell pepper S 1 serving bbq pork rinds. I need to make sure to keep fluids at at least 100 ounces too. Off to find my first cup of coffee!

Good morning everyone~ I missed a few days - I've been so busy the days just got away from me but I was able to get on and read a little. Earlier this week the QOTD was what will you challenge yourself to do this week and mine was to stick to the plan regardless of my crazy schedule and not use it as an excuse to go off plan. Well I failed miserably. I feel I am still in some sort of holiday/weird schedule limbo and I'm winging my plan and that does not work for me. This weekend will be focused on making my plan work and working on/finishing my vision board. This means being flexible, having plan b and basically - PLAN PLAN PLAN. I will be ready for a good week and all the weeks to come.
Accountability was great until I got home from work when I had cheese puffs and peanut butter crackers. Rob's food never used to bother me - I need to get back there.

I agree, once you allow it to go on it's harder to stop. I am going to stock up on healthier snacks that I really like. I made a new dip the other day with non fat greek yogurt and Trader Joes new mushroom Umami seasoning - its great, I added a little EBB too, it was delish.
