What's on your menu today PHOTO FRIDAY RNYers?
Hi RNY and VSGers!
Happy Friday, indeed! I am so glad it's the weekend. I slept poorly most of break (was up super early, inexplicably). Now that I am back to work, I want to die when the alarm goes off lol. Not sure if it's that I am back to the gym so I am sleeping better? Annoying!
QOTD: ahhh coping. I still occasionally find myself succumbing to the siren song of food but I do try to make it string cheese or something that's not cheetos, ya know? My gym mostly offers classes at night, so that helps me to avoid snacking since from 6-7 or 7-8 I am at the gym. I have been reading pretty voraciously on my Kindle which also helps time go by. When the weather is good, the kids and I ride bikes. It's still a struggle, even after all this time!
Time since surgery: 5 years, 2 weeks
B: 4 oz Boar's Head Ever Roast chicken deli meat (shaved) + 2 oz goat cheese
L: the last of my delicious tuna concoction (chunk light tuna, diced red onion, artichokes, roasted red pepper, green olives, black olives, feta cheese). BTW, I can't take credit for this recipe - this is the Whole Foods tuna salad but I just make it myself!
D: the last of my spicy havarti chicken meatballs
S: mini cucumbers and mini peppers in greek yogurt + ranch powder
E: Nada. Boxing last night was phenom. I can feel it!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
I salivate when i read your tuna recipe...I need to try it....

The dogs are adorable. Glad you have the snow and not me. I hate driving in it, I'm a white knuckle driver and hate to go out in it.
QOTD- I'm glad to see all of your ideas, because my coping skills definitely need improvement.
My birthday is tomorrow and I was hoping to go out to dinner with my friend. But he has been admitted to the hospital with pancreatitis. And will be there for at least the next 3 days. I like to get the silly hat from Chevy's but they are no more. The parent company declared bankruptcy and all of the restaurants in this area have closed. Maybe a good thing as my favorite food there was the fresh made tortillas. I've said all I want for my birthday is for the Seahawks to beat the Cowboys in the playoffs.
Working from home today so less stressful. I've still got a ton of jobs to get done but at least it's quiet here, except for Sammy. I swear he's getting deaf as he doesn't realize how loud his meows are.
Accountability was not good. For example this is what the gingerbread house looked like before, now it looks like a wrecking ball hit it. Missing a few parts. I'm not sure what it is about gingerbread. I bought a kit at Ikea and it didn't ever get assembled. This one my friend kept in his truck and decorated the other night. It did survive for a day.
I'll try to stay away from it as much as possible. Have a great Friday everyone!
