What are you eating RNYers? Wednesday Edition
on 1/2/19 7:10 am
Good morning! Congratulations on the new gig! It's fun to try something new -- I resisted going into sales for a long time but once I did, I really enjoyed it. I hope you will too!
I am feeling the two mondays in a week thing for sure! I went to bed late last night and then was up about 1 am so only about 90 minutes sleep; I could not get back to sleep to save my life; I finally had to get up and do a round of meditation and one of the calm sleep stories....and then, of course, I couldn't drag myself out of bed when the alarm went off this morning.
QOTD - even though I"m working from home today and friday, my challenge for the rest of the week is to get dressed every day, including mascara and a bra. I work from home a couple of times a week and I usually am a big believer in getting up and getting ready just like going to the office...except I didn't last week or Monday. Day one of the challenge completed successfully!
Coffee + premier X 2, then tea and water all day to 100 oz
early morning snack - 1/2 protein bar (in eggface protein cookie form)
B - 3 oz deli lemon pepper chicken and 1 pickle spear
L - crockpot pizza
D - two smart blueberry greek yogurt
Vitamins - on track
Exercise - evening walk tonight
Have a great MonWednesday all!

OMG I am cracking up, as I sit here without a bra or mascara ;) I agree though, working from home I either wake up and shower and get dressed (admittedly in comfy clothes, but dressed) OR get up and put on workout clothes if I am going to the gym that night. Today is a gym day and I was SERIOUSLY dragging today so I am still in pajamas in my home office.
90 minutes of sleep - GAH. That sounds awful. I thought my normal 6-7 hours was bad, but 90 minutes, just ugh. I hope you can get some sleep tonight and catch-up. Do you ever take Benadryl before bed? I find that one "pink pill" really helps.

I know a lot of my team just roll out of bed and right onto the computer and they do great...but I have either get up/get ready/go or off as my only two speeds it feels like.
I definitely have a benadryl on tap for tonight...along with my usual sleep routine which I didn't follow last night! I blame it on being on my iPad too late; I usually am pretty strict no screen time for 2 hours before bed but last night, not so much.

Crockpot pizza sounds interesting. What kind of crust do you use? Do you have a recipe? I make the TJ's cauliflower crust pizzas a couple of times a month because DW LOVES pizza and I don't feel too guilty about having a slice.

It's super easy! Here's the link to the receipe I started with
https://www.recipesthatcrock.com/crock-pot-crustless-pizza/
And how i really made it
total of 1 lb mix of ground beef, sweet italian sausage and hot italian sausage, browned with extra fennel seeds (I love fennel in my sausage) and then drained; dump all into the crockpot and stir with 2 cups of a blend of mozzarella and parmesan; top with pizza sauce of choice and then your usual pizza toppings; let cook on high for 2 hours 15 minutes or low for 4 hours or so.
I didn't oil the crockpot and I should have!
This my second low carb pizza try; it's tasty, I mean it's meat and cheese so right up my alley but it tastes more like a noodle-less lasagna than pizza! I do think the cheese-crust pizza I've made feels/tastes more like pizza because you get a difference in texture and layers in that one.

Mornin' All!
I ended up overdoing it with sweets yesterday and felt like crap for hours afterward. I did this to myself Christmas day as well. NO MORE! Nothing is worth feeling like that! (I don't think it's actual dumping, but I feel crappy regardless if I eat too much sugar). Thankfully, I'm fine this morning - just feeling bloated and not hungry at all. I'm going to take advantage of that to get myself back on track. I'll just focus mainly on getting my 100+ grams of protein and at least 100 oz of fluids today.
QOTD: my goal this week is to do what I'm supposed to be doing anyway, but got sidetracked by the holidays: stay within my calorie range and get at least 100 oz of fluids. And get some exercise on at least five days (includes yoga - not strenuous exercise, but good for flexibility and my stress level, too!)
3.5 years out:
B: coffee with half & half, protein shake
MS: homemade Greek yogurt if needed
L: homemade cottage cheese with homemade blueberry sauce
AS: only if needed: choice of light yogurt, protein pumpkin pie, protein pudding, or hummus with baby carrots
D: small piece of lasagna, broccoli salad
ex: yoga for sure. Might hit the gym as well
I know what you mean about the sugar. I don't dump and often tolerate it better than sugar substitutes and SAs, but eating too much can really make me feel lethargic and generally crappy! Should be a better motivation to stay away!
