Thanks, Em. I'm going to stick with black for the weeklong challenge and then figure our what to do going forward. These nut milks sound like a good compromise.

I don't know if it helps or not but i do two measured ounces of Premier Protein (vanilla, chocolate or cookies and cream) in my coffee when I'm giving up cream/half and half. It lightens it a little and gives a bit of a protein bump (I got the idea from other people on the menu threads early on).

Well done on evading the cream wraiths! I'm the opposite - I just started using half 'n half in my coffee and tea, occasionally. I used to use cashew milk - only 25 calories per 8-oz. glass! I think I will pick some up again today, and revert. The half 'n half is luxurious, but unnecessary.

I generally have my one go-big-or-go-home latte in the morning and then I use cashew milk in everything else. Cannot beat 25 calories a cup and I like the substance to it better than almond milk.

Oh good idea! That sounds like a perfect compromise! I agree about the cashew milk - it has a creamier quality than almond milk, and it's marvelously inexpensive, calorie-wise.

I did 15 minutes on the elliptical! At first, I thought my legs were going to spontaneously combust but as I went on it got better. Seems I have tweaked my knee a little and I am laying off of running/walking for a bit and the elliptical is the way for me to go. I commend you for any time you spend on that machine!
