What are you eating RNYers? Wednesday Edition
Anybody with me on this?
So had my New Years Day interview. It is a commission sales job and then also some web content writing. They are willing to have me and I am in because I am open to getting new experiences. Homework though to get up to speed with what I am doing, so he gave me 2 books to read, one on Marketing and one on content writing.
QOTD: Think of something you want to challenge yourself with this week. I am considering challenging myself to having more than 64oz water, and no snacking after dinner except a hot beverage or a protein drink if I am low on protein.
B: overnight oats and protein, Fairlife latte
Pre-workout: egg, turkey sausage on low carb wrap
L: Salad w/cottage cheese
D: Butter chicken w/broccoli
S: protein drink
ex: Gym

Happy New Year all! I'm back in the office today and hoping for some settling into a better routine.
QOTD: I've been off or working from home for most of 2 weeks and I've been drinking WAY too much coffee because I can make a whole pot. I want to limit my coffee to 2 cups in the morning (one on the way to the train and one after breakfast) and one after lunch. I want to replace it with more plain water, at least 64 oz. I know I can do it, but so often I just don't.
Menu:
B: COFFEE!, 2 scrambled eggs
S: Chomps
L: fish, salad
S: Salmon jerky, small apple
D: salmon patty, baby carrots
Exercise: 3 mile walk & 1/2 hour with trainer

Congratulations on the successful interview and new experiences to grow. How exciting for you!
Today is the last day of winter break for me. I finally finished undecorating the house yesterday so today I will clean and catch up on laundry. We are heading to Longwood Gardens with friends tonight and I am excited about that.
On our way out NYE my car suddenly lost its transmission. Yup, we were dead on the side of the road. So thankful DH has a mechanic friend who came to our rescue with a tow truck! Today the dealership is towing the car in for repair (Also thankful we have a bumper to bumper warranty for the life of the car!)
QOTD: I am going to challenge myself to drink 100 ounces (I get close but never to 100) and not eating after dinner. Tonight that should be easy since we are going out but I would like it to become a habit.
1 year out and a steady 163 on the scale (I saw 159 for a hot minute)
M1: PP chocolate shake with my vitamins and 2 cups coffee
M2: soft boiled egg
M3: 3 ounces chicken thigh and roast veggies
M4: I just don't know
M5: tuna salad on mixed greens
100 ounces of water and hoping to get to the gym soon.
Have a great day everyone!

Car troubles are never fun. I have to ask though- what type of dealership can you buy bumper to bumper for the life of the car? And who decides when the life is up? Just curious since I am sitting here in my own car troubles.

Let me preface by saying we are not car snobs and that I drive a 2012 Dodge Journey. It was a leftover we bought in 2013 and because my DH's family worked at Dodge/Chrysler we got an amazing deal. At the time, and because the car was a new car (just leftover) we were allowed to buy the Max Care warranty which covers the car bumper to bumper for as long as we own it. I will own that car f-o-r-e-v-e-r because I don't like car payments or leasing. We paid for the warranty but it has been so very worth it!

When I was young and not very savvy, I once traded in my car because I went to get new tires and the tire dealer asked to many questions I didn't understand. My boss at the time, walked me through why that was not the smartest choice and now I keep my cars forever. However, all the years later, I will randomly get texts from that boss (who I adore) saying things like "you know when the gas light comes on, that doesn't mean you should get a new car, right?). It makes me laugh every time.
