Good morning and Happy New Year! I stayed up until midnight by myself last night, I just couldn't sleep after taking a great nap earlier in the day. I did a lot of writing, worked on my 2019 'vision board' and really focused on who I am, what I want and where I'm going. It was really nice having hours of time to myself to do that without any interruptions or distractions. I woke up feeling wonderful and so optimistic! Today I will continue working on this, being mindful of the work I need to do and all that is to be! Welcome 2019!

QOTD - We are buying a house - probably more toward the end of the end of the year, still watching what the market does, but moving forward as if. We want to move to an area that is pretty pricey - I'm so tired of commuting. This includes a serious savings plan that is really out of our comfort zone. We want for nothing but want nothing more than a home of our own so it's really a no brainer.

Accountability - I didn't have any wine, but i snacked a bit on pretzels and popcorn

2 years 1 month out - 163.6

b-coffee and yogurt

l-eggbeaters and salsa

d- BBQ chicken thighs

es - frozen yogurt

v/l on track

Have a wonderful New Years Day!

I had to breathe deep when I signed the contract for my colorado house; the costs are so different in CO vs AZ; and I know Cali is even more extreme! Good luck with your search!

Happy 2019 everyone! Hope this year brings joy and peace to you and yours!

I am spending today in my PJs, with a good book and alternating between NASA's Ultima Thule updates and watching all the powerful woman episodes of smithsonian/history/etc I have in my DVR. So far, i've seen New Horizons confirm it's alive; a two episode bio of Cleopatra (which didn't hold a candle to Stacey Schiff's amazing bio) plus an episode on the scythian warrior women who may have been the basis for the description of the Amazons.

Accountability yesterday was fine -- i didn't feel great all day, not horrible just not good, so blew off my menu but got to protein and fluid goals (thank you Premier and protein water!).

QOTD -- MOVE!! I am so excited to get back to Colorado and in my new home. Then get my mom moved in with me will be step 2. On the travel side, as part of the christmas present for my Hamilton loving nephew, we'll do a little family get together in Chicago and hang out; my sister and I are originally from Chicago but we rarely get to play tourist there so this will be fun. I'd like to squeeze in one international trip as well but not sure where, will have to check funds and vacation time after the move and selling my AZ house. Could be another long weekend in Iceland in my future....in the deep winter so I can see better Northern Lights (Denver has direct and usually inexpensive-ish packages). We saw the NL when we were there in October years ago but not at the level you can see them in the winter, if you get a clear night. I might also try to hit the east coast to see a concert at Wolf Trap, it's on my list of venues that I want to visit.

Menu today

I treated myself to a homemade coffee with SF almond roca syrup and HWC to start the year off right, lol. Now i'm on to tea for the day. I really like the almond roca flavor.

B - 1.3 oz asiago cheese, 1.9 oz deli ham, .5 oz pistachios

L - crock pot pizza

D - L&F greek

Have a great start to the new year all!

I like trips where I can look at the stars. I have seen the Northern Lights here and in Alaska. I would love the big show.

It made me happy when my son texted me from Idaho.." I watched the stars"

Living in suburbia, I think I can see the stars but then I go somewhere I can really see the stars and it's amazing. We tent camped in the Sahara in 2014 and there were so any stars in the sky, it made me dizzy. It was incredible!

Happy New Year!

We went out last night and today I am feeling blah. I drank two Cosmos and was a dancing machine. My legs and feet hurt from dancing so much! Drinking lots and lots of water and starting my re'set' today.

On our way out last night my car lost its transmission and of course, it was pouring rain. DH took it all in stride and called a friend who came to pick us up and called a tow truck to tow my car. So glad DH has such great friends who would drop anything to help us out and we were only an hour late to the party!

QOTD: We loved going to Tennessee last summer and feel like there was so much more to see and do in Pigeon Forge that we want to go back again. Other than that, we have no plans. Since we don't have a dog anymore I feel like we can just hop in the car and go for long weekends if we want.

M1: a PP shake to take my vitamins and 2 cups of coffee

M2: one egg and 2 pieces of bacon

M3: horseradish cheese

M4: Asiago chicken thigh and roasted broccoli

M5: Asiago chicken thigh and roasted cauliflower

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

You've got grand plans in motion for 2019. My day has been relaxed. I ran this morning, no coat since the weather was so mild. Put away the Xmas decorations and the house feels less cluttered. And some through vacuuming. We've got chicken grilling (mild weather), and I'm looking at reruns.

Eating has been a bit of a challenge- not so much cause I'm off plan, but since I'm never hungry I have little motivation to prepare anything and find myself reaching for snacky carbs to fill the gap. I don't keep too much around to get me in serious trouble- but I do need to beef up protein intake. Being back at work will help since I'm on autopilot there and always pack my meals- at home I laze around then don't want to be bothered.

Qotd: I'm trying hard not to make an fitness goals until May when I'll start another run streak. I want to focus purely on nutrition until then. I want to be a specific weight for my 1/2 marathon next month and then am focusing on losing inches till May. Life wise- Id like to get my PHR (certification), but that will cost $$ and reducing debt/spending less is a big goal for me.

M1: egg, 3 turkey sausage patties, cheese stick

m2: beef pattie

m3: BBQ chicken

Get the kid in college.

I've been drinking coffee and tea all day. Had ham. Turkey later.

I love quiet holidays.
