Good morning everybody. I weighed in after the holiday week and lost about .4 pounds. Definitely better than last year, that's for sure. I do need to get my daily calories down and will join challenge. The first thing that has to go is the half and half in my coffee. I have to go back to tea or drink the coffee without cream.

QOTD: Definitely eating because I am bored. I try and remind myself that eating can't be a hobby

Breakfast: Coffee then Protein bar

Lunch: sausage and eggs

Snack: Light and fit

Dinner: not sure but on plan

Have a great day, all

Good afternoon! Good job being at 125.8 - it's going down for you! I'm sure I'm going to be stuck for a while now... I need to prepare mentally for that and keep on plan. It is so much harder to lose now than when we were in the first year or so Post-op.

QOTD: Oh boy, I am first off a boredom eater. Second is that I need to eat on a schedule or my head tells me it is time (even if my stomach doesn't). I need to plan for that or I eat stuff I shouldn't. Third is that though I am an emotional eater too, the other two seem to take precedence. I always thought the emotional eating was the worst. Interesting to analyze...

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Deli chicken

D: Halibut and veggies from DS' restaurant (he is using comp $ to get our takeout)

Hey team,

I guess it's pretty late in the day to post. However, I've been busy putting holiday stuff away, cleaning the house, walking the dog.

Given that my surgery was just over 3 weeks ago, I've been walking every day but today I decided to start a couch to 5K running program. So I did that. My partner is a runner and I thought that would eventually be a cool thing we can do together, so I did this program on the treadmill which wasn't bad and some other cardio as well.

QOTD: I definitely eat out of boredom. Watching tv or a movie often makes me think, gosh I wish I had something nice to enjoy as I watch this. That's definitely something I need to be careful of. What I've really learned about myself is that I don't have a sweet tooth at all, but I really need to be conscious of my sodium intake and give up on all the saltiness. Perhaps it's many years of being a smoker that did that (I quit 5 smoking 5 years ago but I guess the salt has been harder to break).

B: low fat cottage cheese and melon

S:protein shake

lunch: turkey salad with a little light hummus

S: apple sauce

D: not sure yet

Better to post late than not at all. Trust me most of my regain happened because I wasn't going to the trouble to post--I had to walk 1.5 miles to get to where the internet was. Next time I'll do the steps.
