Good morning menu friends! Karen, thanks for getting us started on this Wednesday!

I'm back to work this morning but from home so that's nice. It should be a relatively calm rest of the week with a lot of people out for a long holiday break. I saw a ton of movies this weekend -- all very good! Mary Queen of Scots; Mary Poppins Returns; A Star is Born; and I watched Bird Box (really intense but occasionally made me think of the one where Mark Wahlberg was terrorized by the wind and then it lightened it up for me); I watched season 4 of shetland with a free BritBox trial and the first two episodes of A Discovery Of Witches...I loved that book series; the first episode wasn't great but the second one picked up. I guess I will be keeping Sundance Now through Jan so I can see the whole season.

QOTD - I told my sister I wanted warm pajamas and she got me a fleece snoopy adult onesie. I love it; it's warm!

I had an unfortunate gingersnaps incident on Christmas Eve and yesterday I just ate too much, but it was all protein based -- even the 2 helpings of protein pudding. (My first time making that, it was a nice treat). I'm back on the straight and narrowish today. I still have some of my goat cheese sweet potatoes -- if I skip yogurts on the days I have the sweet potatoes, I can stay under my carb counts but I'm trying to decide if I should just enjoy them today and then freeze/toss the rest. Any one know how mashed sweet potatoes freeze?

Menu

2X coffee with half and half and then tea

B - 3 oz turkey, 1 oz applewood smoked cheddar

L - 3 oz turkey, 2 oz sweet potato mash

D - 3 oz turkey, 2 oz sweet potato mash

838/97/22 will be my calorie/protein/carb count

Exercise today will be a workout video (I'm feeling kick boxing ish) and maybe an evening walk.

Have a wonderful wednesday all!

The seetpotatoes should freeze fine. They may separate a bit but will stir up and taste delicious!

I watched a few mins of Bird Box on Netflix on Monday....it was only for 10 mins while I was on break so I need to give it more time to see if I'll watch the whole thing.

I think freezing sweet potatoes would be similar to pumpkin? I have frozen canned pumpkin that I had left over from baking and aside from separating and becoming a little runny when it thawed it was fine when I mixed it all back up.

Thanks ladies! I will freeze the left overs; they were too good to toss but too tempting to keep in the fridge, lol.

Yes. If you're like me it would be disaster to keep them in the frig. I have no restraint when it comes to somethings.

It was really good! The costumes, the performances, just fantastic. Historical accuracy was not fantastic but I knew that going in...and they did a good enough job with it that I let that go. Mary QoS had such a dramatic life!

oh man I heard they were making a series out of a Discovery of Witches but it was only going to be available in the UK so I was resigned to not seeing it LOL...I can't sign up for anymore streaming services that I just don't have time to watch but hopefully it will be available in the US eventually...I am intrigued...i LOVED those books!
