excess skin contact

I have a question and it has been bothering me so here goes. Had RNY but can not afford plastics. The biggest issue is the "apron" that hangs from the surgery. Skin on skin can be an unpleasant odor. What does anyone do/use? I've tried making sure it's super dry after a shower, powder, lotions etc.

Hello there, I can relate, I have 6 inches of skin on skin contact from my apron. I religiously clean the area each time I shower, towel dry it to 100%, and apply deodorant to the entire area. I also apply some nice smelling lotion to the surrounding skin that is not in contact. Lastly, I wear my underwear between the apron and my body. This has worked well for me, the area stays clean, dry, and non smelling. I think keeping my underwear seperating the skin is the most important part.

Hope it helps!
