Chills and pain after eating
I am a little over 4 months out from RNY surgery. I have been very blessed, and have had only extremely minor complications. About 3 days ago I started having some whole abdomen pain that pretty much felt like gas. Until yesterday...the gas/bloated feeling went away, but has been replaced by cold chills every time I eat. Almost like when you are chilling with the stomach bug, however I only have chills after eating. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I don't want to call my surgeon unless I have to. Thanks!
It IS possible you are coming down with tummy bug/gastritis/flu bug/etc...
As "surgically altered freaks", we tend to automatically think EVERY illness, from gut cramps, to hangnails, are directly linked to our WLS (I STILL do it, and I'm over 16 YEARS out)...
But...are you eating anything new, or weird? Especially new, processed carbs? Even a "pinch"? Any other symptoms? Fever? Sore throat? (Old Mama/GiGi/Nurse here)
Been constipated? Urine looking ok?
Regardless, you can ALWAYS seek medical attention, and put your mind at ease! Please update, when you can
You also COULD be having some adhesions, doing a little stretching, inside you, causing some discomfort. Perfectly "normal", but certainly uncomfortable

We Can Do Hard Things
This happened to me earlier this year. I ended up at urgent care where they did x-rays. They diagnosed it as constipation and had me drink a bottle of Citrate of Magnesia.
After weight loss surgery it may seem like you are going enough but still be constipated. Don't worry about bothering your surgeon. That is what they are there for.
Your body is different than before surgery, but pain is never normal.
