Gift bags were my salvation...although one year I paid my then 6 year old nephew to wrap for me -- it looked the same as if I had done it and I didn't have to get frustrated, win win!

Hello my RnY friends! Happy weekend!

Thanks for launching us, Karen.

We had a massive wind storm blow in from Puget Sound on Thursday morning. It really was a wild thing! All of the power in my neighborhood and for most of the island got knocked out, and many areas around Seattle also went down. No lights, no heat (more on this in a second), no internet, and a dead phone! It was very dark at night (which falls so very early these days). I have lots of candles though, both real and Luminara, so I could see my way around. I was concerned about the cats because they are such petite creatures, at right around 6 pounds each, plus they are 17 years old, and they need and appreciate warmth. They were on the bed next to me so there was bit of body heat, but their little paws still felt icy. In the middle of the night, on one of my bathroom trips, I saw that the propane stove in the living room had kicked on! It's set to ignite when the ambient temperature gets low enough. I hadn't even tried it earlier because it's plugged in, so I assumed it needed power to work. Anyway in the morning I turned it on and the cats curled up in their little bed in front of it, so they managed to stay comfy. And I had on tights and jeans and Ugg boots, plus a big cashmere sweater, so I was fine. Still no power or internet though. I went out shopping all afternoon, and drove around until my phone was charged; by the time I got back it was past 7 pm, and as I got in the power finally came back on. What a luxury light and heat is!

Speaking of jeans, I ordered two more pairs of NYDJ jeans and they came yesterday. I love them so much! And I bought them in a size 2 (NYDJ jeans run large). Still, a size 2! They fit perfectly. It is simply mind-boggling. But today's size 2 is 1976's size 6. I know because I wore that size then!

I'm back down to 133.0 on the scale after having been up a little bit, so I'm glad. In the past 3 weeks I've only lost 2 pounds, but hey, I'll take it!

Speaking of weight loss, my friend who was in town on business told me very earnestly that I shouldn't lose any more weight. She said that my upper body - especially my shoulders and ribs - is now so thin that I am starting to look unhealthy. I do see what she's saying - I've been this weight before, and thinner, but not for a long time, and my bone structure is significantly more prominent than it was at this same weight when I was younger. My shoulders have become strangely bony instead of smooth and creamy looking, and my clavicles are extremely pronounced. Plus my neck looks quite skinny. My breasts have gotten smaller, more's the pity, and I am going to have to buy new bras. The last ones I bought were very supportive when the cups fit, but they no longer do. I'm going to try Wacoal's balconette bras, which I hope will provide good lift.

Anyway, my question for those of you who are further out is, how much fat re-distribution did you see in maintenance, and how long did it take to see it? I love being this weight, but it would be nice to have a little more of a smooth covering on my upper body, so I'm not looking quite so bony.

I'm still feeling disturbed by how dark the sky is up here at this time of year. I don't like it and wish there was more sun!

First: many mugs of tea

B: top round roast

L: tuna

D: more top round.

I'm out of cheese but will pick up some of that espresso bellavitano, it is delicious! And I'll add a bit of that in.

Have a wonderful weekend, my tribe! Love to you all!

Hi everyone! Work has had me crazy busy but we finished negotiating a major deal involving a schedule change- it was great to be a part of that. The work really only begins for me team though- and it will be ongoing cause we'll be paying (more) overtime for a long time to come. I'm off till Thursday, even more excited about that!!

I'm pretty pissed that a gift we ordered for my son hasn't come. We put his artwork on t-shirts/sweatshirts because he wanted 'custom' clothes- so it's not like I can run and buy it in a store. No updates on the delivery tracking since 12/15... grrr. Otherwise Christmas is done- Pretty easy this year.

Did my run today, gelrocery shoed and took a well deserved nap. Making ziti for the family now. I'm trying to make meals that my teens can eat leftovers from while home this week. This evening I'll try and find tickets for the movies I wanna see. No other plans.

Weight is uncomfortably high at 218, but I'm also in day 10 of a period (with??)- I'm not doing much about it till after the holiday. 3.7 years out

m1: egg, bologna cheese stuck

m2: open face teriyaki chicken/cheese sandwich with pickles and tomato

m3:?? Really I wouldn't mind a repeat of #2.

sharing a pick of me in the Christmas Spirit at work...
