Thank you Amy! It was wonderful to see her, and so sweet of her to bring me those beautiful clothes! My favorite is a gorgeous green sheath dress in a rich, luscious green which hovers between jade and deep turquoise, with a long center panel of lace. I would call it Palace Green, but nobody would agree with me or be able to accurately visualize it if I did - yet it's the perfect name for that shade, better than that pea soup shade that's sometimes given that moniker. I should get a job naming cosmetic shades, or shoe styles! The dress is really pretty! The color reminds me of the velvet chairs in a very fancy restaurant in NYC that my great aunt, Tante Mitzi, and my Uncle Egon took me to when I was a kid. After dinner there, they took me to the movies, where there was a sweeping curtain of deep crimson velvet, and all of the seats were upholstered in the most spectacular Schiaparelli pink mohair velvet! It was quite the day for stunning velvet, as you can tell, since I have remembered the beauty of it for more than 55 years!

You would be perfect for that job!! You are so creative and have such a wonderful imagination! I am clever in many ways, but seriously lack those qualities!!

Your son must be so proud to have you as his mom! The two of you seem so close, that's lovely to see.
A few years ago, in a leadership training, we had to create our "tagline" for ourselves...your comment about being your own best supporter/having your own back reminded me of mine...it was "I'm the hero of my own story." You are working every day to make yourself stronger, healthier and happier -- good for you! You are being your own good friend and that's wonderful!
There are ugly and mean people everywhere, I wish I could be gracious enough to always see how sad and damaged they must be to be that way but some days the best that I can muster Is to be glad I'm not them. I hope the situation you are dealing with gets better but I am sure you will get through it no matter what!

Thank you Jen! I know the person in question is very damaged, or she would never behave as she has been. Nobody who is well inside can be that ugly. The good thing is that I am a grown up and can choose to go high, even if I admit to enjoying Sheila's offer to send her a goat's head.
Yup. I truly am very fortunate to have the son I have!
I really love your tagline, and I find you altogether very impressive: very executive, very kind, and keenly observant!
