Good morning Hilary and menu folks. Very cold , windy day this morning in Northeast NY. We are changing up our Christmas Eve routine this year, we are going to the afternoon mass instead of midnight mass, it is getting difficult for my folks to go so late. My cousin is a priest and we will go to his Parish for mass and then have dinner with He and our families. It should be fun, he gets so much food from parishioners at Christmas, that I will need to stay away from the selection of sweets. I did ask what we could bring and he said nothing, so i told him I would bring the Vodka and would be there prior to Mass....LOL....he laughed.

QOTD - I had nothing big on my list , I do need a few more outfits for work. and I already know I got some new running shoes.

B - protein bar

s- proteiin shake

L - protein shake

S - protein shake

D - chicken parm

E - gym night

no loss, no gain on the scale this morning , 16 pounds to goal.

Stay healthy my friends, Mike

Midnight mass is one of our family traditions...I would hate to miss it..although my wife is Methodist and hates the incense...I told her she picked the "most incense" mass there is..lol

It is dumping rain in the PNW today and windy. I hate driving in this! Two more days of work and then I am off until the 8th of January! I am so ready for a break.

I finished up my holiday baking yesterday. Remind me next year not to do it. It's so much work and mess. Some things didn't turn out. It's my own fault I guess. I shouldn't have tried a new recipe for the first time.

Yesterday was a good food day, on plan. I didn't eat my jerky. I probably will today though since I will be at work and need a snack around 11.

QOTD- I really want a cross necklace, but I haven't found one I like.

Food for today

2 eggs with 1/2 c. cottage cheese

Naked jerky

5 oz shredded chicken breast with salsa

halibut

Lots of water, hot tea and vitamins always!

The older I get the less I like driving in rain, especially at night. I prefer driving in snow to rain.

Good morning! Yesterday was the first day of ACTUAL job training and my brain is totally scrambled. I just keep in mind that the last time I felt this way, I ended up as the official SME (subject matter expert) in that area. So...I can do this!

qotd: mostly just books lol. I want Lin-Manuel Miranda's book G'morning, G'night. It's a book of poetry and morning and evening affirmations from his twitter account. He basically is publishing his tweets...but his gmorning gnight tweets are AMAZING.

breakfast: coffee

snack: hard boiled eggs

lunch: I found a menu, but it wasn't correct so lunch is still a mystery. Yesterday it said pasta, so I went automatically to the salad bar instead, and then realized that the hot lunch was bbq brisket and pork, which I would have MUCH RATHER had, but the salad was fine. I put chicken on it.

Dinner: leftover pork chop

Happy Tuesday!! I slept from 10:30 until my alarm went off at 4:30 so that was a HUGE chunk of sleep, yay.

I finally got my close date for my house in Colorado; 1/29 - so now I will spend the next 6 weeks hyper focused on getting moved. I am so excited.

The excitement is balancing a bit of my magical thinking frustration....I've been perfect on my menu plan and exercise and water for several days now, why am I still the same weight? I know all the reasons but the ARGH is still there - the head stuff never stops.

QOTD - I asked for a belt and warm pajamas and I know I will get those (and they will be easy to move, lol).

Menu today is a bit repetitive but will be so delicious!

Coffee + half and halfX 2; tea (I am really behind on my advent calendar teas so I brought two of them to work today, an earl grey and a chai)

B - 3.1 oz ever roast chicken

L - Siggi's NSA banana cinnamon yogurt - bit higher calorie than the Take 2 (which is delicious) and the L&F greek but I am really craving a banana so I thought it would help.

D - green chile chicken concoction (4 oz chicken breast, .5 oz shredded cheddar, .5 oz sauce)

577 calories, 70 protein, 17 carbs

Good Morning! It's hard to believe Christmas is only a week away.

QOTD: I asked for a new gym bag that is made from old billboard signs https://www.rareform.com/. During cyber Monday they had a BOGO and Emily liked a backpack on the site too so maybe Santa will gift us both.

Time since surgery: 4 years 4 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Simply protein chips, low carb pita with PB, and carbmaster yogurt.

D: Mahi-Mahi burger, mashed cauliflower with shredded cheese melted on top, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1271 Protein:123 Carbs:99 Fat:48

Have a great one!
