Still feeling nauseous

Well 12/12 is the same in Europe, Canada, or the US, so the current profile needs to be updated if that's the true surgical date.

I'm trying to change it but can't figure it out. The true date is 12/12/2018.

I'm always amused when there's an assumption that everyone here is American; theres a big Canadian contingent here!

True. But I personally didn't assume that the OP was American since in other posts she stated her surgery was Dec 12 (i.e. 12/12/18) therefore, for that specific date, day & month are the same in all regions (dd/mm/yy or mm/dd/yy).

I fixed the date. Thank-you for pointing it out to me!

5 days out I was still on Gatorade only and I wass repulsed by it. Hang in there, you're almost through the liquid only phase!

Hello. I had my surgery a couple days before you and felt some of the same nausea. My taste buds and sense of smell were also acting up, which didn't help the nausea. Crystal light really helped me get my water down. It's sugar free. Good luck.

Thanks PeteC. Hope you are doing well. I still have my down days and the nausea sure isn't helping. It happens whenever I have a protein shake and lasts for hours afterward so I'm basically getting about 1/2 to an 1 hour rest from it until it all has to start again.

What kind of protein shakes are you drinking? You could have developed sensitivity to lactose after WLS, which is not uncommon. I recommend you stick with protein powder or ready-to-drink products that contain whey protein isolate as it is virtually lactose free. This could help ease your nausea. I like UNJURY.

I did switch to a whey protein isolate that is unflavoured. I still have the nausea but I'm hoping against hope that when I start pureed food tomorrow that it will help. I also started taking Raberprazole which should also help. It's weird actually because I sure never had a sensitive stomach before this. It's only been a week though so I guess I should give it more time.
