Still feeling nauseous
I know I'm probably expecting too much too quickly but I'm five days out of surgery and still feeling quite nauseous - especially in the morning. Today I can hardly even stomach the thought of getting water done yet I know it is so important that I do it. Is this common? Does anyone remember how long this will last? This forum has been such a source of support, I can't thank you all enough.
If I recall, I was still experiencing...not quite nausea, but definite aversion to almost everything. In my case it was mostly just feeling burnt out from all the liquids, and I was SO ready to have a new flavor and texture.
Stick with it, and before you know it this part is barely a blip on the radar. Instead of plain water, try herbal teas. I love Tazo's glazed lemon loaf flavor. In my case, switching to hot drinks made things easier, and tea isn't as sweet as all the shakes, jello, etc etc. while I generally sweeten my tea, I left it black then, just for a different flavor profile.

PPI is an acid reducer. In some programs, I think people were given them initially after surgery or when they showed tummy troubles or heartburn.
i second the try warm beverages, I still find it easier to get my 100 oz when I have hot drinks!
