Good morning everybody. Today should be a fun day for me. This morning I am going to Blackhawks practice. I have never been, it should be fun to see what they do. The team has struggled so badly on the ice that they are making every effort to keep the season ticket holders happy. Tonight, me and Marilyn are going to see Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. I've never seen him play live and I understand that this is his last tour. The concert is in the suburbs, so no commute into the city. Should be a great day if the clients cooperate.

QOTD: I get these Frick's pre-sliced hams and take a few slices of those in a plastic bag for lunch or snack. They are small hams that can fit easily in the drawers of our refrigerator. I think they are about 2 pounds total.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: Work luncheon

Snack: Light and fit

Dinner: Beef stew

Have a great Friday, all!

That is a good question. The first good news is that they feel much better today and yesterday. No crutches and no braces. The second good news is that the orthopedist said there isn't really structural damage to them. Why they are better now and worse before is what we are trying to find out. I am being moved from orthopedics to Rheumatology to try and figure it out.

That is good news. I am very glad you are feeling better - severe knee pain is truly debilitating! I hope they figure everything out!

TGIF amirite?

I am so ready for the weekend---even though I have plans to pretty much waste the whole weekend at least I'll be with my family and not sitting here waiting on hold for insurance companies all day!

Going to my niece's daughter's first b-day party tomorrow...I haven't seen any of DH's family since surgery besides his one sister and his mom, who won't even be at this party because his sisters are nuts and had a falling out with their brother who is this niece's father like 2 years ago--so stupid, since he passed away in a tragic accident last year and they STILL can't seem to make amends with his kids- it baffles me! but i digress... this niece is actually a personal trainer and she is going to be designing me a program after the new year (once i have some money I can pay her LOL) so that's exciting.

Sunday I am getting together with my sister and SIL to bake cookies...we are definitely not baking as many as we have in the past considering my sister is doing Keto, and well my family is bariatric-centric as well haha...so each of us picked 2 recipes and are trying to stick to 3 dozen of each type so we can each take home a dozen...will be giving these out to neighbors and co-workers for christmas! I did pick one Keto recipe and so did SIL so we will still have a couple to try!

QOTD: I rely heavily on greek L&F yogurts and string cheese...I usually get the fit & active ones from Aldi since they are lower in cals and fat, but still high in protein. I have also gotten back into using PP shakes in my coffee since it helps to boost my daily protein intake!

B: coffee w/half vanilla PP, low sugar oatmeal packet (I literally grabbed this on my way out the door this morning since I didn't realize how late it was!)
L: leftover turkey italian sausage/spaghetti squash bake (again)--hopefully the last time I will have to eat this LOL
S: either L&F greek yogurt or turkey meat sticks--maybe both, maybe neither- I've been super hungry lately and snacking too much, but today I do not feel as hungry, so we shall see!
D: probably either Chili or shrimp & zoodles- depends if DH cooks tonight or opts for leftovers (we do need to get rid of them!)

Pics: DH and I both fit into his old Teeshirt LOL...and my 10 month post op progress photo's! I seriously don't even look like the same person. it's nuts!
