Yes, it aches in general and has been bothering him more recently. It was worse with PT, hiking and running which he had been doing a lot of lately - training to get back to full duty. He didn't know until the recent test results. Poor kiddo...

Poor kiddo is right. Such a disappointment for him! I hope that he will be able to fully recuperate in time. So sorry!

Thank you Jen - Yes - the strike went as well as it could. Nothing will change for negotiations this year, but we made such a stinking spectacle with our rolling strike that they are on serious notice and better bring it next year or there will be a BIG FULL STRIKE. Fingers crossed for early, successful and equitable negotiations for 2019/2020!!

Hello my menu buddies! Happy Thursday!

I've been feeling hungry and suppressing it over the past few days in an effort to stay steady with my intake of 650 calories. Mostly this has not been hard through the months - I started my pre-op diet with 600 daily liquid calories, and kept to that level for many months, gradually going up to 650. At 18 months, I am considering adding just a little. I'm not done trying to lose a little more, but I don't want to be hungry, as in the past I've found that hunger has a way of eventually leading to overeating. Last night I found myself reading appetizer recipes for Christmas get-togethers. Now, I will have to make something for both Christmas Eve and for Christmas day, but I really do not need to be reading recipes with such alacrity until I have to make up a shopping list a day or two beforehand. Reading the recipes last night was hunger related. Gotta nip that in the bud! Anyway I will add in a few more calories today, say 50 more, to a ceiling of 700. I really hope this won't affect my ability to continue losing, but I honestly feel i need just a bit more food. Protein forward absolutely! I weighed in at 133.0 this morning.

First: tea

B: salmon, yum.

L: 2 eggs, chives, cheese

D: tuna, possibly 2 packets

Have a great day you guys!

I managed to avoid the potluck, but somehow not the Christmas cookies, or a Popeye's biscuit I snagged for my dinner. I had a site meet at 7AM so I was up about 4:30 to shower and get ready. I woke up to terrible nausea, feeling like I was going to throw-up but didn't. Took a prescription I have for nausea, it makes me sleepy so went back to bed for about 1 1/2 hours, worked from home for a while and then came in. Not sure why I'm having such nausea issues, probably just the crappy food I've been eating. I also need to cut out the wine, it's become too frequent lately and hard to resist. So no more for me.

So reboot in progress, and start again.

Friday can't come soon enough! Take care everyone!

Good luck with your getting back on track; I'm sure once you feel better it will get easier..and hopefully that will be a positive cycle. Hang in there!
