What's on your Photo Friday menu RNYers?
Once again with the STUNNING pictures! Honestly, you should make these into post cards or a calendar or something!
Men are stupid hard to shop for! I usually don't have a terribly hard time shopping for my DH because he is not a typical man and doesnt care about sports or typical man stuff LOL...he likes nerdy things like me, so I can usually find something relatively easily...but he doesn't ask for much, so he is getting a huge hydroflask thermos and I got him an Ancestry DNA kit since half of his heritage is mostly a mystery to him!
the rest is gift cards for clothes since nothing fits him anymore LOL.

Mine is not sporty either. Well, aside from surf but he has so many surf boards and it's such a specific to weight and how you ride the waves that I can't get him a board as a surprise. Other than that he is a geek too. How many gadgets can a man have?

Changed my mind and ate it for breakfast. One word...YUM! As long as you are ok with the sodium amount. When I put it in MFP it warned me, but my BP is low so I'm OK with it. They have two type of eggwich; I got the spinach one. Next time I'll try the onion bell pepper one.

Sheila I am with you! I think men are hard to shop for, but I also know that I am since I normally just buy myself what I want in the moment I want it lol. I told Kris this year I want my knives sharpened. But he's had about 10 boxes arrive to the house and made me secretly wrap them so I am a bit annoyed - we said no big gifts this year since we are taking a long weekend trip in January for his birthday weekend and now I am worried that he got me tons of stuff.
So some ideas:
A super nice briefcase if his is ratty (try Nordstrom Rack)
Something he loves that is local to elsewhere (I order Kris these special BBQ chips from his home state as a treat)
Some new clothes (I find lots at Marshalls)
New headphones (Costco has some sales)
Tickets to a local event (play, sporting event, concert)
Gift card to a favorite restaurant
A plaque you can make on Shutterfly of a collage of pics of you and him and the kids
You are a DOLL for all these great ideas. Wish I could talk to you to explain my difficult husband!
He is a total geek (computer hardware engineer)
Doesn't carry a briefcase
He is 5th generation Californian, totally local with ALL of his family here (can you see me rolling my eyes??)
His work clothes are jeans and T-shirts (geek)
He has all the new gadgets before they come out (without mentioning names, the chips he designs are in most of the gadgets so he gets them all)
His favorite restaurant? Don't laugh! Subway or 5 guys.
Last xmas I ordered all of his patents on wood plaques...that was a stroke of genius on my part. But he is not the show-offy type so instead of hanging them on the wall they are sitting in a corner.
Do you see my dilemma?

Ooooh, I'll check them out.
Believe me, I use the term geek in a very endearing way. I wouldn't want my husband any other way. Even in high school I always liked the brainiac boys, never the rebellious ones.
