What's on your Photo Friday menu RNYers?
Good morning all!
Nothing crazy planned for the weekend. Today I am bringing the gifts to the shelter in Baltimore where we adopted a family. Their wish list was so sad - winter coats, winter boots, an electric blanket, books, diapers. So of course I went insane and got them a hundred other things. I couldn't bear for a kid to get a coat and boots on Christmas. So I am dropping that stuff off. Tomorrow I am going downtown with Cyara (my 16 year old stepdaughter) so she can pick out all her Christmas gifts at Forever 21 and H&M lol. Kris hates that none of her gifts are a secret and I refuse to buy her things she won't wear - she's a teenager - she can pick out her own stuff! We are going to meet a friend of mine for coffee and then Cyara and I will eat lunch out, which will feel special, since I don't get 1:1 time with each of the 3 kids all that often. Sunday is gym and then I am going to check out a local wine store with a new gym friend - she raves about it and I said I would tag along.
Time since surgery: one wee****il five years!!!
B: coffee with 3 measured tbsp of half and half and I'm trying vanilla almond sugar-free syrup! Kris is slightly concerned about my sugar-free hoarding obsession I've recently picked up! 4 oz deli chicken and 1 oz goat cheese. I feel sad only eating meat for breakfast (sorry grim!) but the goat cheese helps.
L: I will be in the car for a few hours today so a small container of my delicious leftover tuna and 2 string cheese.
S: baby cucumbers and mini peppers with Greek yogurt and ranch powder. The crunch is so satisfying!
D: the fam is having fettuccine Alfredo and rotisserie chicken, I am having a leftover shrimp cake from last night and 3 small havarti meatballs.
No exercise today!
That puts me at 1200 calories and 133 g of protein and only 43 carbs. Seems very doable. Though it sounds so high when I remember eating 700 calories a day like many of you ha ha! This far out, keeping 3 meals and a snack at 1,200 calories is effort.
This photo is related to nothing but it CRACKS me up. For some reason, no Barbies in our house have clothes on. Ever. And they are often lined up in the middle of the floor. And the cat loves to lay amongst them. I will walk in the room and just crack up!
Great job with the gift giving, like you I always find it so sad to read the gift requests, we try and give back as well. Great job and funny pic!!!

When my niece was little my SIL came into the bathroom and saw all the Barbies hanging by string on their ankles off the towel bar and various things. When asked about it my niece said they were bungee jumping. LOL. My SIL was worried there for a moment.

I agree! We choose a child of a parent that is currently in prison (through prisonfellowship.com) and the note that gets attached to the gift(s) is signed from their parent. We try and pick a child around Em's age and allow her to help us shop. This year we have a 12 y/o who is asking for craft and drawing items. One of my friends that works with my hubby usually gets to help deliver the gifts (I like that we are allowed to wrap them and stuff too).

OMG that picture!! I would tell Kris not to be too worried about your hoarding SF syrup until he finds bottles stashed in weird places...like the hamper or in the back of the closet!

G'morning and Happy Friday!
Most of the xmas shopping is done except for DH. Why is it so hard to buy for men? Then when you ask them they say they don't want anything. Me, on the other hand, when DH asks me what I want I make it easy on him. I even send him links so he knows where and what to get me. My problem is doubled because his bday is on 12/22 so I gotta come up with two presents every year!!! Any help from the guys on this board is appreciated.
QOTD: DH & DS are going down south (Ventura - Santa Barabara) for a surf weekend. I guess the surf is better down there this weekend. Bunch of us gals are getting together for a bday party, we have rented the nail salon so we can all get pedicures (25 of us) and then go out to dinner. It will be fun. On Sun hopefully I can finish the sweater I am making. I make HP sweaters and the orders have been crazy. I need to make two more by 12/20!! Funny thing is ppl think they can order 4-5 sweaters in Dec and get them by xmas. Uh...NO!!
B: protein coffee
L: eggwich (Jimmy Dean - new find)
S: parm cheese
D: chicken fajita (Trader joes)
Have a great weekend everyone.
Dont mean to brag but we've had storms here and when they pass the sky is just amazing.
