Good luck - hopefully all will go smoothly. It seems from most reports that these procedures aren't too onerous.

I would have a parade for cheese! That seems like a brilliant idea!! Sounds like you have a fun day ahead, you deserve a little fun!!

Qotd - I love all the cheese! The best cheese I ever had was a smoked sheep's cheese from a market in Krakow (ospycek). When I saw it, I thought it was wood - it's a caramel brown with designs carved into it, so pretty and tasty. I am sad that I can't get it here.

Cheeses that I love that don't involve a flight to Poland? Haystack Mountain black pepper goat cheese, Roaring 40s blue, Grafton Sage Cheddar, TJ's Unexpected Cheddar and an aged Gouda called Prima Donna.

It's been a long week but it's almost over! I head to a new office/hotel tonight so I'll get a change of scene at least!

menu is a bit up on the air but looks like

B - HB eggs x 2

l - oikos triple zero

d - ? I will be staying near a mail so going to get out and walk and might see if I can find a protein forward option.

s - I didn't eat my yogurt yesterday so may add the L&F as a mid day snack

happy Thursday all!!

Oooh I love sheep cheese - I wish I had tried that in Krakow! I was in Krakow in 2001...and I recall that at most restaurants they put a mug on the table with the bread basket which was a lump of LARD that you were meant to spread on the bread! Did you have that served to you???

You're a road warrior, I don't envy that life. I used to be like that and now I am happy to mostly be home!

Their breads were so yummy! and they had the best hot chcolate too - it was just a bit more liquid than pudding. My favorite two meals in krakow were the meal with the smoked cheese (it was cool adventure where we met a local couple, did all the shopping and then made homemade peirogi at their home) and then a watermelon/feta salad with lime Vinegtrette (and bread). So good.

i am on what should be my last trip of the year! Usually by December I start thinking "next year I want a nontravel job" but I should be home for 3-4 weeks so by New Years I'll be more than ready to hit the road again, lol.

Morning all! Just have to find the time to log in each day and then read whenever I finally get some time. OH has been so good for me over the last 2 years and I need the accountability and to give back when I can.

JB, I love the parade and I'm glad that you get to take the time to go!

I had yesterday off for the funeral and was very busy. The cats got me up early but I went back to bed with a cup of coffee and relaxed for a while. That was heavenly! Then I made several batches of cookie dough to put in the refrigerator to bake later. We ended up making about 4 dozen in the afternoon that DW decorated, but she ran out of steam pretty quickly. I also did an hour of heavy lifting with my trainer and helped to get the house gutters cleaned ahead of any snow that may come on Sunday!

QOTD: I think my fave is a cranberry stilton but I really like fresh mozzerella. I am somewhat lactose intolerant so I try to avoid large quantities of cheese. But it certainly is yummy and sometimes I just eat it and take Gas-X for the results!

Menu:

B1: scrambled eggs (breakfast in the cafeteria was just GROSS!)

S: Chomps

L: fish, zucchini

S: salmon jerky, apple

D: shrimp

E: I'd like to take a walk at lunch today but I did a particularly hard workout yesterday so this may end up being a day off.

That's great that DW can do cookie decorating (I can't)! I'm hoping my DH can handle putting ornaments on the Christmas tree this year, but I'm not sure.
