What's on your THURSDAY Menu, RNYers?
on 12/6/18 1:16 am
Morning everyone! I have not had my head above water for the last few days. I failed on my goal to get back to posting a menu every day... I didn't even get to log on and read! Yikes. And I haven't been very accountable, either... Tuesday I didn't eat anything "bad" just way too much! And yesterday I went off the rails and ate cookies. New day today!
I am soooo excited for today! My favorite local tradition is a "Cheese Parade" (no really!). This 400 lb wheel of Cruculo cheese gets flown in from Italy every year and this little town gets so excited that they have an actual little parade to welcome it into town. There are horses and dancers, and (since it is MA) Minute Men...lol. The whole thing is hilarious and fun. So I get to leave work at 11:30am today to go! I only get 3 personal days a year, and I am taking a half day to go to this :) Afterwards we have tickets to go to a "Festival of Holiday Lights" show at a Botanical Garden with my family. Should be a great day all around!
QOTD: What is your favorite kind of cheese? (OMG, please don't say you don't like cheese...I can't...). I love it all, but I think I love Swiss the most. Our local grocery store also carries a cinnamon & cranberry goat cheese that is to die for.
B: egg whites & chicken
S: Noosh coffee flavored almond butter
L: out for lunch--probably a tuna melt (hold the bread)
D: eating at mom's house tonight but she will probably have burgers for Grim :)
Exercise: nothing formal but lots and lots of walking!
Have a great day!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
I absolutely love small town traditions and especially the tradition of a cheese parade!
QOTD: I love all kinds of cheese - feta, gouda, swiss, American, Havarti, provolone, parmesan, blue, goat... should I go on? I haven't met a cheese I haven't liked.
Accountability: Yesterday was a snack table at work. I had bbq pulled chicken, a ravioli and about 5 grapes. I didn't have my planned afternoon snack. I thought my belly was feeling better but it isn't. I am having a prissy pouch week, however, the scale is moving in the right direction.
11 months out and 161.5 today.
M1: hard boiled egg
M2: PP chocolate shake (it's planned but I haven't had it all week)
M3: ground turkey taco meat with a sprinkle of lettuce, tomato, onion, olives, cheese, and sour cream
M4: PP chocolate shake
M5: leftovers - either more taco meat or acorn stuffed squash
Trying for 100 ounces of water ****ep falling short) and I will take all of my vitamins.
Happy Friday Eve!
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Mornin'!
We're headed off to Chicago later this morning - phase 2 of PS tomorrow morning! I need to finish packing (we'll be there until at least Monday), set up the cat feeders, and drop one of the cats off at the vet (he takes two meds - I didn't want to bother the cat sitter with that). I'm looking forward to having all of this PS behind me!
accountability was crap last night - and it shows - up 3 lbs this morning (which of course is almost all water). We went to this reception and there was food *everywhere*. I ate mostly shrimp, but then I hit the dessert table. We'll leave it at that. Today is DH's birthday, so we'll go out somewhere in Chicago - I need to be a lot more careful today. As for the weekend, I doubt I'll be eating much after surgery, and I'm taking stuff with us to put in the fridge in the room, so I think I'll be fine.
QOTD: I like pretty much everything unless it's a super strong blue (mild blue is OK), but I especially love Marieke Gouda (especially her foenegreek (Dutch for fenugreek)) and anything by Satori (they make Italian cheeses to DIE for...)
3.5 years out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce
MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: we'll be on the road, so maybe turkey chili at Panera Bread (if we pass one), an Egg McMuffin, or a protein bar
D: ?? Hopefully DH will want Middle Eastern food for his b-day!! (if so, probably chicken kebob)
L:
Yay for phase 2 of your PS journey, Thoughts are with you!
