Good morning menu friends. Quick post for accountability today as I'm trying to get hubby moving for work. Steps and food both great yesterday--on plan and 11,224 steps total as Miss Lily and I got a good walk in after work. It was the last thing I wanted to do as I was exhausted but we both needed it. Weight down a bit at 126.2 today. Heres the food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 2 slices turkey 1 slice cheese 3 grape tomatoes D grilled nuggets from ChikFilet S string cheese. I've been getting lots of knitting done in the evening as the head hunger has been crazy. I just drink and keep my hands busy though! Lily and I will get at 5k in after work. Have a great day full of amazing choices everyone. We can do this!

Okay - I may have to give Chick-Fil-A another shot and try those nuggets again - maybe I got a bad batch? Which dipping sauces would you recommend?

Mornin'!
NYMom your menu looks great - totally sounds like something I would eat, too!
So this morning I'm taking one of our cats over to a friend's. He always goes there when we go out of town for more than a night or two, since he doesn't get along with the other three male cats (he likes female cats, though - or at least the two female cats he's lived with - our current one, plus the one who died last month). Then another cat goes into the vet this afternoon for a steroid injection that lasts 7-10 days, since we won't be here to give him his daily meds. And we have a meeting tonight (well, two - but I'm skipping the later one). I have class this morning but will most likely skip that as well - too much packing, laundry, and straightening up to do before we leave for Chicago tomorrow morning.
weight was down to 150.2 this morning, but that was at 4:30 a.m. (when I unfortunately got up!). Usually I have one more bathroom visit before I normally weigh around 6:30 or 7:00 - so I may actually be a hair under 150 (had I weighed at the normal time). So maybe tomorrow... (YAY!!)
accountability was great yesterday!
QOTD: the two things I use the most are my blender and my Instant Pot (I use the IP at least twice a week for yogurt - and occasionally for other things as well, like hard-boiled eggs and various meals). Blender gets used almost every day - mostly for my fancy protein shakes, though.
3.5 years out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade blueberry/blackberry sauce
MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: Emiepie egg salad on either 4 whole-grain crackers or a Flat Out wrap, grapes
AS: hummus with baby carrots OR Carbmaster yogurt with raspberries
D: they're having appetizer-type things at this meeting we go to, so I'll focus on protein & raw veggies
Good morning Cynthia and menu folks. Cold here as well. I am looking forward to my extended break at Christmas - will be off from 12/21 and return to work 01/02! Nice long break.
QOTD - hands down, my egg cooker
We use it twice a week.
B - Protein bar
S - buddig meat
L - chicken salad
S - cheese stick
D - bacon and eggs

Good Morning! Cynthia, thanks for getting us started. I bet you had a blast on facetime with those cuties.
QOTD: Your gadget sounds amazing. The newest item I got was a small air-fryer. Love to use it to warm up things for Emily-quicker than having to wait for the oven for her broccoli tots and stuff like that. ETA: My instant pot for yogurt about twice a week.
Time since surgery: 4 years 3 months
B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots
S: Beef jerky, carbmaster yogurt, and Fairlife SF latte
D: Low carb pita, Buddig ham, shredded cheese, small spinach salad with crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal
E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1212 Protein:124 Carbs:98 Fat:45
Have a great one!
Good morning. Accountability was terrible. Big lesson learned. Don't eat oatmeal for breakfast (even if that's all to eat). Period! I was grazing all day, even a crappy cookie. I'm focused today and I saw a very heavy person eating a terrible breakfast this morning in the cafe at work. I said to myself that's me in 2 years if I keep eating crappy cookies and grazing. I like who I'm becoming and need to say goodbye to the behaviors of the 500+ pound person inside me. I can't behave like him anymore. Probably a good lesson to get into my head before heading off to vegas next week.
QOTD - I bought a bunch of stuff to prep for surgery and use very little of it. The two things I love aren't gadgets so much. They are my drink containers. I have an insulated blender bottle (Blender Bottle brand - it's black with a screw cap vs. the flip top - travels well). Keeps my drinks ice cold for hours and the ultimate fav is my HydroFlask 32 mug. Perfect portion and keeps my coffee at serving temp for about 5 or 6 hours and hot for 8. I sometimes buy my coffee at 4:30 on the way to the gym and start drinking it when I get back in the car at 8:15 to go to work. Steaming hot, almost burning my mouth. Just perfect. My wife bought a bunch of cooking things that I just need to try - like the Instant Pot and I even bought an immersion cooker right after surgery. I've got to try those and maybe I'll love them.
PWO - 1/2 premier protein drink. Hit my 5th Peleton class this morning at home. Tonight is Group Fight and Group Power at the gym. Assuming my doctor apt doesn't run over tonight.
B - 2 HB eggs (cut out .5 of the yolk); salsa; 1 sausage patty
L - Small salad, 2 oz chicken, 1 oz cheese, 1 oz of very expensive dried salami ($28/lb - it's so good)
S - Yogurt with some nuts
D - Since not going home - looks like a Primal chicken bar. Great emergency and travel food.
S - Cheese 1oz and 1oz almonds (after I get home from working out)
Everyone is telling me I'm officially done! It's funny. My trainer and my chiro said it yesterday. Keep in mind that my trainer was beating me up for being up a few pounds just a few weeks ago. But yesterday she was releasing some tense areas after our workout and she was feeling my side and legs. She said - you don't have any significant amount of fat left. You should begin tapering and maintain. Then my chiro said basically the same thing yesterday. So I guess it's good that I have my skin surgery consult in a few weeks.
