What's on your Wednesday Menu RNYer's?
Good Morning. CHilly chilly here (NY). Have a hoodie on, fluffy robe and a fluffy throw over me. Christmas exploded in my house yesterday and it is far from put together...oh my. Right after I took out the boxes I got a facetime from my grandchildren who wanted to see all the things that I wasn't ready to take out because the tree wasn't up, so everything is everywhere with no order. oh well.Carry On.
QOTD: Since 'tis the season for gifts... name your favorite gadget you recommend. I have a Dash mini-griddle I picked up for $7 at HomeGoods and I love that thing. Heats up really fast, nonstick and perfect for making one pancake, one egg etc. faster than the stove because it cooks both sides at once. Perfect for Protein pancakes which tend to fall apart. Made protein pancakes in it last night for dinner 210 calories, 30g protein, and lots of pancakes...yummmm
4+ years out

Hi all
so in office this week wed-friday... I do like my two nice screens here and free starbucks coffee and a cafe. i can get egg whites and grilled chicken there for super cheap.
QOTD: I also love the dash griddle and have two- one in a tiny size and one in the medium size. I use medium one for pancakes. I didn't want 'meat' yesterday for two meals so made pumpkin pancakes instead. they were yummy to the tummy. Well the countertops ARE IN THE KITCHEN!!!! faucet isn't hooked up yet and but have a beautiful stainless steel sink under mount also!! OH and my Instant pot I love.
Been thinking about that ninja one that does frying AND pressure cooking... hmmm
Food for today:
coffee
water
egg whites/chicken sausage
cucumbers/salsa
mussels and cauli
not sure on dinner.
exercise is walking at lunch/around building and 100 jacksquats
Good Morning Cynthia and thank you for starting the menu thread this morning!
Last night we drove 45 minutes to Dover, DE to Sam's Club for my husband to get a gaudy light up Christmas suit he saw on Saturday. I have no idea why he didn't just get it on Saturday when we were there the first time. I am exhausted this morning even though I slept like a rock. I did take a couple laps around the outskirts of the building since I was low on steps, didn't make it to 10,000 yesterday. The gym is part of my plan today. My belly, although not feeling 100% is starting to feel a little better too.
QOTD: My husband bought me a small Crock-pot warmer last year. He initially found it at Walmart but when he went to buy it, there weren't any left. So he called Crock-pot and got a great deal! I actually have 3 now! It is a small food warmer and doesn't cook the food but warms my lunch right on my desk. I don't have to use the gross teacher's lounge microwave ever again!
11 months out and staying at 162 pounds (Hubster called me skinny this morning! )
M1: hard boiled egg
M2: PP chocolate shake
M3: 1/2 of stuffing and apple chicken sausage with a bit of acorn squash
M4: 1 ounce of colby jack cheese with 1/2 cup raspberries
M5: ground turkey with 1/4 cup red beans and rice mixed in
My goal for today is 100+ ounces of water
I will head to the gym right after school today to run a little and then lift some weights.
Have a great Wednesday!

It is cooler here in Florida too: 52 and windy with a high of 65 today. No pool but way better than being in the Northeast.
QOTD: I am afraid my favorite gadgets are expensive: Dyson animal cordless vacuum (who knew you could fall in love with a vacuum), and my Instant Pot Duo. I have two of the latter (one in each home) because I make cottage cheese every few days.
2 Years 8 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years)
Always lots of coffee...
B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon
L: tuna salad and cottage cheese
D: catfish or rotisserie chicken
S: homemade cottage cheese
