What's on your TUESDAY menu, RNY'ers
I really hate heights. Even changing the battery in the smoke detector is a chore because I get dizzy on the step ladder. Since surgery I am physically able to do alot of things (I've done all of the leaves myself this year) but some things I'd just rather pay or bribe someone else to do!

I can't imagine the kind of chaos an event like the funeral causes for the workers in the area. I've only had to deal with road closures from AF1 landing at Buckley in the past and that was a big enough pain...and it's not anywhere near the scale of the funeral.

In general there are certainly advantages to where I work but it also has disadvantages like terror alerts, protests, etc.

I really like the deli meat/cheese too. It's easy for work. I just measure it out in the morning and put it in a Tupperware.
It's so nice of you to put up the tree and pretty lights for your kitty!

Hi Maddy:
What a beautiful Christmas tree! It must smell so good.
Babycakes is sitting so nicely under your tree looking up at the lights. Do you think Babycakes is planning some mischief?
When Jesse, my cat, was alive, she also liked to lay under the Christmas tree. That was before I had trees with LED lights that stay cool. I think she liked to bask in the warmth given off by the old-fashioned bulbs!

Good morning Joyce and menu folks. Sorry to hear you are having difficulties, hoping that your egd gives you relief to move forward. I was fortunate that I did not have any issues Post op. My honeymoon period was uneventful. I am thankful for that and am hoping I can get rid of my regain prior to the Western Caribbean cruise we are going on in April. That is my goal and I will do it, I am going to remain diligent and spend more time on the board as well as spend more time in planning my diet so I am not as susceptible to make a bad choice. I find I am very hungry after I go to the gym and prior to eating dinner. I am thinking I may go to the gym later in the evening to try to eliminate the head hunger and grazing, it is truely my worst time of day, I am spot on during the work day.
QOTD - we usually do it the weekend following Thanksgiving. Last year we purchased a beautiful artificial tree and we love it, our primary color is gold bulbs and ribbon with white lights and we have many special decorations that go on the true including the collar of our late dog Abby. She is always with us.

The maintenance struggle is real, Mike! I hear you. I also have times I am ravenously hungry, and particularly after I go to the gym (my classes are typically 6 or 7 pm). I TRY to add in foods that won't do much damage - cottage cheese is a good one (filling but not a ton of calories, and very high protein). I have become recently obsessed with snacking on mini cucumbers and mini sweet peppers and I dip them in 3 oz of greek yogurt that I add powdered ranch to. It's crunchy which is always a nice change from my usual limp protein sources lol. I still get full from deli meat and chicken breast (a great reminder that the pouch works!) whereas shakes and bars and non-dense stuff doesn't really fill me up. Ugh, I wish I just had a normal mindset about food!
