AMAW/CAMAW - LAST Day
Day 7 - LAST DAY!! I am so happy this challenge is coming to an end. It has tested me to no limits. If I don't see another turkey link or turkey patty for the rest of my life it won't be too soon.
What have we learned from this challenge? Did it really reset your carb cravings?
I learned that I am so happy I'm not a cave woman. I like the other stuff too much: yogurt, cheese, eggs, protein shakes. That's what makes this type of eating tolerable for me. If I had to eat AMAW on an ongoing basis I would go nuts. It sure reset my carb cravings, but at what cost? We shall see tomorrow morning if this was all worth it.
Tomorrow make sure to post your results (weight or measurements) either on the menu thread or the CAMAW thread and share your successes and/or lessons learned.
I did much better yesterday because I was able to exercise. I guess I hadn't realized that I was so used to working out every day that when I stopped for 3-4 days I was getting antsy.

We had some people who started the challenge but for one reason or another decided not to continue. Here's hoping there are still few left to finish this challenge with me. Stay strong AMAW/CAMAW warriors. The end is in sight.
Happy Sunday!

I did great yesterday on CAMAW but due to Friday's run-in with cookies and a lot of sodium yesterday I'm back up 2 pounds. I plan to continue CAMAW indefinitely as much as I can over the next few weeks. It does work and as long as things like 3 dozen homemade cookies arriving in the mail don't occur I find the carb issues do recede. I'm giving away most of the cookies at various functions now to get them out of the house (with enough retained in the freezer for DH).

Good afternoon,
I really learned that I really don't have to have the junk food and be satisfied with my eating and attend events and HAVE to indulge in every dessert served.
Today at church, a lady brought in blueberry muffins but I didn't indulge in them even though I wanted too. That I do have the will power to say no. I take my friends granddaughters to church and afterwards, they get slushees and a donut. I only got my coffee and no donut. I did good today.
Im hoping the scale is really good tomorrow since I have to see the bariatric dr in the morning for my binge eating disorder. I'll probably stay on a modified plan of the CAMAW to allow vegetables and my apples back into my diet.
Yesterdays calories 1212 protein 115 Carbs 19.
Have a good day
Yvonne, you are my role model. GREAT job!

Hi my carniverous pals! Sheila, I know what you mean, it's an effort sticking to AMAW! I'm ok doing occasional bouts of AMAW, but not too often. I realize that for me, a week is a doable span, but not more. I eat CAMAW pretty much always anyway.
Yesterday's stats: Cals: 557, Carbs: 7, Protein: 63
I have only lost 1/2 of a pound so far this week, but I accept incremental losses at this point, weighing 135 lbs., and heading down to the high 120's. I'm revising my ideal maintenance range down just slightly, from 137-142 to staying under 140. I really like being here more than I realized I would.
Hang in there my friends! I'm excited to see how we've all done, tomorrow. I didn't take my measurements just prior to this challenge, but I have gone down since my last check a little while ago by at least 1" on all measurements, including just under my bra (as if measuring for band size). So I'm feeling rather slinky.
Sending you all love!
Not sure where you want results posted, so I'll do it in both places. I'm very pleased with the results this week. Got me back to well within goal range. 6.0 pounds even lost this week. I'm not missing the carbs, so I'll keep it very even keeled this week.
