Mornin'!

so far we've just been enjoying a quiet Sunday morning. It's supposed to snow this afternoon (boo!), but only up to an inch of accumulation. We're meeting some friends for lunch - then if the roads are OK, I'll go to yoga this evening (my last day before my membership is suspended for awhile because of my surgery this coming week - so hopefully I can make it tonight!!)

QOTD: hmmm...I go up and down stairs all the time now, which I wouldn't have before. I used to leave things at the top of my basement stairs and just make the trek down there once a day max - or ask DH to do it. Now I'm up and down at least a couple of times a day - sometimes way more than that. I just go down when I need to go down - never leaving things at the top anymore. Also, exercise: I've done TRX, Zumba, and WERQ - never would have done any of those - or even tried - while I was SMO.

3 years 5 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, raspberries

MS: protein shake, coffee with half & half

L: meeting some friends at a Chinese place. This couple almost always wants to go to Chinese places and order a bunch of different things to share. So I'm sure we'll do that again. Luckily, that means there should be a lot of meat & veggie things I can focus on.

AS: probably not given we're lunching out, but if I need something, L&F yogurt

D: homemade cottage cheese or Emiepie egg salad

I'm actually a little freaked out about it! Last time I couldn't WAIT to get on the table, but I'm already nervous about the upcoming one!! I know I'll love the results, though. My lower half looks great - so now my whole body will look normal!

I'm so glad you are so pleased with your first surgery! I'll bet your results from this next one will be equally beautiful!

Good morning, all. I am trying to catch up on work today. Last week I had 4 doctor's appointments, a nutritionist appointment, an X-ray and bloodwork. Plus, Monday was kind of a snow day. So, all in all, I did not manage to squeeze much work in. Tuesday I am going to Los Angels for a conference, returning on Friday. I'm looking forward to being in the warm weather. But I won't be able to post since i don't know my password to log in and the auto password doesn't extend to my phone.

QOTD: I am only three months out and one of them has been spent with knee problems, so I don't have a lot of NSV's yet. I will say more comfortable flying and scratching my back.

Breakfast: Sou Vide egg bites

Lunch: Ham and vegetable

Snack: Protein bar

Dinner: Chicken

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hi Karen!

It is 80 here and sunny, so that's good. I think it will be a quiet day at the pool though we are going to a friends here for dinner. I got rid of some of the 3 dozen cookies sent by BIL at a party last night and will bring more tonight. People love them and it gets them out of my house! I already drove SIL to the airport, walked the dog for an hour, made two batches of cottage cheese, did two loads of laundry, emptied the dishwasher and did the food shopping. All by 11, so I feel that I can veg the rest of the day.

QOTD: Probably yoga - I could never imagine being able to bend so much and I would not put on yoga pants at my former weight.

Accountability: Fully CAMAW yesterday, but up 2 pounds due to Friday's cookie fest and a lot of sodium yesterday

2 Years 8 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: deli chicken

D: protein of some sort (at a friend's home).

S: homemade cottage cheese

Good afternoon,

Finally home from church and I had an errand to run. The last two days I've been tempted by brownies, cookies, blueberry muffin and donuts but I didn't indulge in any of it. That's a win for me. Hopefully I can continue staying on track.

Qotd being able to get up and down off the floor easily and while carrying a baby in my arms.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna and cottage cheese

D sirloin pork chop

Have a good day

Sunday greetings to my weight loss buddies!

Today will be a mixed day for me, I'll both work and then indulge in pure cozy laziness.

Yesterday evening when I went into my bedroom, little Mia, my cat who is blind and deaf, was in there just walking around and around and around in a tight circle. I've never seen that behavior from her before, and it saddened me, as I think it points to something neurological associated with her age (she is 17). I remember when a friend of mine first moved to NJ, her little dog Rosie, also very old, was doing that. Her vet could do nothing for her. Anyway I held Mia and got her on the bed, petted her, etc., and she snapped out of it. Today she for the first time ever pooped right in front me and in front of the piano, instead of in her box. She isn't in pain and still loves her food and being loved on, but it brought home to me that she may be beginning her home stretch, poor darling little girl! I hope not, as I dearly love her.

Yesterday someone well intentioned took me to meet a guy here on the island, also an arist, *****portedly knows all of the many artists up here. It was kind of weird - he for some reason automatically made the decision that I didn't know what I was doing. He asked how long I'd been an artist (since the beginning, for whatever that's worth), the implication being I probably was newly retired and seeking a hobby, or a housewife who had never worked outside of her home, who lately had decided to remake herself as a creative type. He asked me if I had ever sold any of my paintings (yes, many, both originals and prints, however never to the point where I could live solely on the proceeds), and asked me "what my angle" was, etc. He said, over and over several times, that for 60 years he has done nothing but his art, in other words, that was his sole source of income. But then he said he started as an engineer doing industrial design, and went on about how amazingly successful he'd been at that. Meanwhile his tiny studio was completely covered with small cartoonish drawings of the backsides of various animals. So that is his thing, and apparently he sells enough of them to keep body and soul together, God bless him. It was just a bit weird, but I did get a couple of bits of useful info out of him. Everyone needs to feel proud of themselves, and it is a tough road making it as an artist, so I cut him slack, but it was a little bizarre. People can be strange!

QOTD: I've gone up and down so many times that what's new this time is more internal than anything else that is a brand new activity. I will say that I am enjoying parking as far away as possible from stores, etc. that I visit, because I just really, really enjoy the sensation of walking. The only exception is if it's pouring and I'm in suede boots, then I park as close as I can, to protect my boots.

I weighed in today again at 135.0. Just a little further to go until maintenance!

First: 57 ounces of tea

B: ham

L: tuna

D: smoked oysters

Wishing all of you a peaceful day!

Hey everyone. Why does The Weekend move so fast? I relaxed a bunch yesterday. Today I ran, them took my son to buy to Christmas gifts. I'm resting a bit before I start dinner.

Qotd: one thing I've done that I couldn't imagine having done pre-op? Share my clothing size-- it was a closely guarded secret before and I'd even cut the tags out of my clothes to not see it each day. I would never let my husband buy me clothes cause I didn't want him to have to search for the size. I am ot ashamed of my clothing size anymore. Recently some e offers to get me a sweatshirt from an event and had to ask me which size. Previously I'd have said I own too many sweatshirts fearing they wouldn't come in 3x. - but I easily told her large.
