Good morning menu friends! Accountability yesterday was so so as I had a homemade vanilla cookie at lunch and then felt sick all afternoon. On the good side though Lily and I walked about 4 miles before it got dark so my step total was good for the day. Weight today is 126.4 so down a teensy bit. Heres the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3 thin slices turkey and 1 slice cheese D 4 oz smoked sausage 1/2 c green beans S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. QOTD we are not big Christmas people so no traditions here. Have a great day full of smart choices everyone!

hi! all

quick one for me this morning. My center's christmas party is tonight and it is agood hour away. the dress I was going to wear I am no longer going to because I just couldn't get the hose/ shoes right and it was sleeveless so might just save it for the summer. so im wearing a black long sleeved wrap type- will have pics taken! I had a meltdown last night trying on clothes as some from last year are now too tight since I have gained some weight back from my lowest. it was a horrible experience.

QOTD: hmmm- I usually bake for my neighbors but alas my neighbors have changed now so I only have 2. and I only know the names of one... We will have a proper tree this year as last year we were packing up the house.

Food for tday:

egg whites from cafe

coffee

water

chicken cucumbers for lunch

EVENT for dinner! not sure what they will have.

Hello Everyone:

I'm in a bit of a funk because I have my 3-month post-op follow-up appointment with my surgeon today. I can't believe that this appointment has been upsetting me so much.

Part of my weight problem has always been the "people pleaser" in me. This hasn't been a very helpful behavior for me all my life.

Even though I lost a total of 72 lbs since starting my WLS journey and 50 lbs post-op, I feel like this is not going to be "good enough" for my 3-month follow-up appointment today. This is coming from someone who could never lose more than 15 lbs and keep it off for a month!!!

In my logical mind, I know that this thinking is way off. But, emotionally, I still feel this way. Not only have I fallen into old ways of thinking, but I've also fallen into old ways of eating for the last few days. I just don't know why I think I can do the same old thing and get a different outcome!

More work in therapy coming my way!

QOTD: When I was a kid, my parents and brother and sister would go to Christmas Eve church service. We would come home and have hot chocolate and home-baked cookies. Then we would stay up late opening our gifts.

I don't live near any of my family members any longer. Instead, a friend and I get together on Christmas and have hot chocolate and cookies and open our gifts. Since last Christmas, my friend had WLS and I had it this year, so we have had to forgo the cookies!

MEALS FOR TODAY

Breakfast: nonfat milk, protein powder

Lunch: tuna pack, sweet relish

Dinner: chili with cheese on it

Snacks: trying to avoid due to recent poor food choices

My picture is of my Christmas decorations for this year. I love lights. I haven't put the lights up on the front window of the house yet.
