What's on your PHOTO FRIDAY Menu, RNYers?
Not yet. The orthopedist wanted to run tests before he started giving me any treatment. He did draw fluid to test it and that actually gave me some relief.

Good Morning and Happy Fri-YAY! Two days in a row of JB..yay!!! I am glad that you are starting to feel a little better. This weekend will be pretty busy as we have Em's 14th Red carpet Hollywood themed birthday party tomorrow and we have to sorta re-arrange things a bit since it will be raining. We always know it's a potential and not the best to plan an outdoor event but Em decided to push her luck and chose to plan most of the decorations to be outside but I am sure it will all work out fine with twelve teenage girls running around the house-LOL!
QOTD: We will drive through some of the neighborhoods that go all out with decorations/light displays but that's all I can think of at the moment.
Time since surgery: 4 years 3 months
B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links
L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots
S: Simply protein chips and carbmaster yogurt
D: Eggbeaters, turkey sausage links, Mikey's English muffin with SF jam, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal
E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1224 Protein:120 Carbs:97 Fat:46
Have a great one!
Hi All!
QOTD: Oh we had the most wonderful traditions growing up! Every year my mom would make me put on a dress and itchy tights (LOL) and take me to see the Nutcracker in downtown Detroit. The night before Christmas we would drive around and look at Christmas lights. Then we would go home and read books - The Berenstein Bears Christmas stands out. Now, we have slightly different traditions since we have the kids the entire winter break except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. So we do "Christmas Eve" with them on the 23rd and open gifts the morning of the 24th. I think Leah (8) now knows about Santa so we can stop the charade of "He knows you have a blended family so he comes here a night early". We also take the kids to Zoo Lights every year at the National Zoo in DC and wander around drinking hot chocolate.
The eats today at two weeks short of five years post-op are:
B: Coffee with half and half and my BRAND NEW Torani sugar-free salted caramel syrup. I am clearly late to the game - this stuff is delish and I no longer miss my sweet creamer that I had to give up (the calories were creeping in). Once that's gone, Boar's Head Ever Roast Turkey and havarti cheese and a few olives.
L: Hard-boiled eggs (2) mashed with 2% cottage cheese, showered with Everything But the Bagel spice. I'm on a kick.
D: Meaty ricotta bake for me, pasta for fam. Seriously you guys, our 8 year old is so picky that she only likes "straight noodles". If I make farfalle or orechiette...she moves it around and asks for a yogurt. Pray for me!
E: Rest day - my gym has no evening classes on Friday and I have done 4 hours this week already - I am sore. I will go Sunday to the toughest toning class.
Have an awesome weekend, guys!
I had my tree up the week before Thanksgiving! Notice my adorable cat in a Costco box in front of the fire LOL Outside lights are up too! (but we waited until it's socially acceptable (day after Thanksgiving)) TBT to last month when we were in Israel and it was hot and sunny!
