Well there are two of us now on 20th of December. Sending you good vibes. For me the invisioning life after stage has started and sommany questions for the prep. Should I start vitamins earlier to prevent any hairloss etc? How can I minimise the skin flopping? What blender should I buy? Lol Hiwever, if in the neginning if the week I felt so much anxiety now I feel excitement! Still a liitle scared for it all, but excited finally.

Hi Ruth, hope you are doing well. We are one week from surgery. I'm on my preop diet. Just wanted to wish you well on surgery. My surgery is scheduled for 8am. I'm still scared but looking forward to losing weight and feeling better.

Hi Ruth D:

I just wanted to let you know that I am one of the people who have had a small number of "bumps" in the road since my RNY on 8/20/18. Even though I am scheduled for a second EGD to re-open a stricture that initially developed post-op and I still cannot tolerate many solid foods, I would not have done anything differently.

It has been both the people who have had surgery several months ahead of me and the veterans on this forum who have helped me put these small setbacks in perspective in the big picture.

Nothing has happened to me during my 3 months post-op that hasn't been correctable or able to be improved. They have been inconvenient at times, but when I realize that I am more than halfway to my goal weight only 3 months post-op, there is no reason I would have done things differently.

Yes, cold feet are normal prior to a major life change. If you weren't anxious, I would be very concerned.

Take the time between now and 12/20/18 to absorb all the information you can about your WLS and the lifestyle changes you are already making and will continue to make post-op.

Best wishes to you on your upcoming surgery and your continuing WLS journey!
