What's on your THURSDAY Menu, RNYers?
QOTD- The state of Oregon mandates that we receive 40 hours of sick pay per year. It does not roll over and my job decided it doesn't begin Jan 1 but whatever day we were hired. So when I had my surgery I only had 19 hours left until June. So this year I've been mostly just making up my time so I don't miss any hours. As a contractor I get no holidays, vacation or benefits. Which can be very depressing. I would love a vacation but as I live paycheck to paycheck I doubt this will happen anytime soon.
Accountability was crap yesterday. My stomach was hurting me enough that I went home 1 1/2 hours early. Was craving carbs and baked some pumpkin spice cookies and ate enough to make the pain even worse. So that was not a smart move.
Still trying to get my prescription from the mail order pharmacy. It look like it was being processed again and then disappeared off the website. Another call to the insurance and they said the doctor's prescribed amount did not match the total amount so they rejected it again. Another call to my surgeon and the error was actually with the pharmacy so they are supposed to expedite the order. Not sure what that means as I have been waiting 17 days so far and with snail mail service I probably won't see it until sometime next week.
Forgot to take my Nexium this morning, which I am taking because the pharmacy hasn't sent me the Omeprazole that was prescribed. It's supposedly in transit so maybe today or tomorrow. Sick of my insurance company.
Work is slow, I have plenty to do but can't get motivated to do it.
Have a great Friday Eve everyone!

Hi everyone, and happy Thursday.
Always a treat to see you, Julia! I hope that you feel much better very soon. The poster is adorable!
I responded much earlier but the entire post went Poof!, and I just went back to sleep instead of reposting.
Yesterday, I received the pair of Spanx velvet leggings I had ordered. They are gorgeous! While waiting for them to arrive, I read the reviews left by other people as they received theirs, and many were complaining that they were impossibly small, too small to get on or wear, even after they had sized up (which I did not), so I was a little worried that the Smalls I had optimistically ordered were not going to fit. But they did, perfectly sliding up and hitting my waist exactly where I like such things to hit. Beautiful leggings which deliver leg, thigh, stomach and butt perfection! Plus such a nice velvet - very soft, and a deeply saturated midnight blue, a deep deep sapphire. So if anyone here is looking for an awesome pair of velvet leggings, Spanx are recommended! Pricey though - I snagged them for $35 off or I probably wouldn't have tried them. I ordered a pair of black and a pair of burgundy too, both on waitlist, but they haven't yet arrived - I hope they become available.
Another super stressful day with no real relief in sight.
Edited to add the QOTD: I work for myself, but things are lean and difficult right now. If I get sick I don't get paid. My sick policy is basically don't get sick! Chicken soup, echinacea, and vitamin C also feature prominently if I weaken and a cold takes advantage.
My weight today remains steady at 135.6.
First: several mugs of tea
B: Ham
L: tuna
D: salmon
Have a wonderful and carefree day, my friends!
Need to see pics of leggings with you in them.
