Isn't it funny/not funny the things we survived that are so unacceptable today?

Yay to Rylie's scholarship!

Good Wednesday Morning and thank you for getting us started. I was going to but I didn't want to impose in case someone else wanted a turn.

The field trip yesterday was awesome! I think my students were the best-behaved group of children in the Kimmel Center. I was so proud of them all.

Chico is not improving and actually fell down the steps this morning. We have an appointment at the vet tonight at 5:30. He is still eating and drinking and playing with his treats so I am not sure what is wrong with him except for a bum hip. I love that little fur face and I just want him to be better.

11 months out and I didn't weigh this morning. Last night I was 163.5 so that is what I am going with for today.

M1: Budding turkey and 1-ounce cheese (couldn't eat it all so I will save it for a snack later if I need it)

M2: PP chocolate shake

M3: 3-ounces chicken thigh

M4: probably another shake because we are going to the vet and I don't know what to expect from there

All vitamins and water

Have a great day!

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

QOTD - I have some memories of Kindergarten. I remember learning the pledge, how to tie shoe laces and scoliosis tests in the classroom in addition to the ABC and coloring/fun basic type stuff. Things sure were a lot different in 1986 vs what I observe in my children's classrooms for that age range.

I am about to get on the treadmill just for circulation/steps, nothing crazy but planning 2-3 miles worth of steps. (My mantra is just keep moving a lot of days that I struggle).

Food wise I will be focusing on fluids, try to get a protein shake in (Nectar sampler probably just choose one I have on hand). I need to get the eggs cooked in the Instant Pot. Ground turkey will be served with pasta and a veggie for the family tonight and I will just focus on getting the protein for myself, maybe some cheese depending on how I feel. I really enjoy dairy but I would like to eat less of it due to inflammation factors for myself. My 3 year old ate my last greek yogurt and I am holding off on going grocery shopping since I was JUST AT THE STORE YESTERDAY. If I get feeling snacky later after dinner I will have nuts or nut butter or there is always trusty tuna packs and some of them aren't too bad.

morning everyone!

Back to my regular desk and routine today finally...I have a lot of catching up to do here at work today but I feel more comfortable about getting it all done now that my co-worker is back from her vacation.

QOTD: I remember a lot about Kindergarten...we had a giant play area with a climbing castle/play house type structure, I also remember the enormous tinker toys...we had little carpet samples we had to lay on for "nap time" and I remember my teacher, Mrs. Thalken. She was pretty old back then and I am sure she has passed away by now, but I don't remember any of my other early elementary teachers at all. I also had my first crush in Kindergarten, I remember his name was Evan Paul Peterson and he was a towhead LOL. I think all the girls liked him though...was my first (of many) experience with unrequited love.

CAMAW day 3:

B: coffee w/half & half, HB egg w/1/4C cottage cheese and 1 chicken BF sausage link
L: 4oz leftover ham (it's soooo good)
S: string cheese if needed
D: ham &cheese omelette

G'morning all!!

I think I have a cracked rib from a hug!!! Last night DS was hugging me really tight and I felt something painful. I thought now with no more padding I hit my rib against his but the pain was to the point that I stepped away from him. I didn't think much of it but once in bed I couldn't sleep on my right side all night. To make matters worse our puppy this morning jumped on my stomach to tell me it's time to wake up and the pain was excruciating. I know they can't do anything for cracked ribs but I'll go to urgent care just to make sure. Never knew my son had so much strength!

QOTD: I don't remember much except from the pics. In kindergarten my mom threw me a bday party in class and I guess back then was a big deal and not many people did. I have the pics that's how I remember. I can see my teacher and all the classmates but I have zero memory of it.

Day 3 of AMAW is underway.

B: turkey links

TONS of coffe + tea during the day

L: chicken fajita (without the vegetables)

S: jerky

D: 2 tuna packs

Have a great Wed everyone.
