One month Post op
So my one month post op date was the day before Thanksgiving. I was very surprised there were not a lot of questions even though I was the last one at the table still eating when everyone else had already eaten and had their pie! My family has been super supportive but this was the first time I was sharing a meal with them. They asked a few questions and commented on how tiny my portions were but that was about it. I made it through the day with no hiccups and now I know what family gatherings will look like in the future. I don't know why I was apprehensive before this one. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well.

I'm glad the holiday went well! I have found that I can have just as good a time with friends and family at meals by reminding myself that it's about the company most of all!

Isn't it true? I noticed last year (my first thanksgiving) that nobody actually pays attention to my plate. Everybody is worried about their own plate. It was such a freeing feeling that I'm not under the microscope. And as long as I don't bring it up I don't even get questions.

Well that is good to know. I guess it really doesn't make a difference people will still notice the weight loss and ask questions until it's been a couple of years and everybody is just used to it. I'm just happy I am done with my surgery and can back to living life. ?
