Welcome to Monday and CAMAW/AMAW for some of us. I'm surprised at the number going completely AMAW - the last time I did it there were hardly any. I do find AMAW personally difficult even if more effective, so I'm sticking with CAMAW (which I need right now).

QOTD: I'll check out some stuff, but probably not make any purchases. I've already finished shopping for DH and I'm giving my older children trips to Florida for Christmas.

2 Years 8 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: deli chicken and cottage cheese

D: leftover Mahi Mahi

S: homemade cottage cheese

Happy Monday everyone! I did a crap job packing for my trip this week so I'm running around finishing up between conference calls before I head to the airport. I hate when I am my own worst enemy!

I am starting CAMAW today and hoping to be able to stick to it inspite of travel.

QOTD - I do the kindle book sale on cyber monday and if there are things I've had my eye on, I'll check and see if there is a deal; I don't really find the cyber monday sales to be that much better than other sales though.

Accountablity - I did fantastic while at my sisters and through the thanksgiving extravaganza...and then ate like crap once I got home; it's like all my willpower wore off. Too many SF things; too much of everything else excep****er -- not enough of that yesterday. Glad that CAMAW/AMAW started today.

Just over 9 months out at 157lbs this morning (up a lb since Saturday, see accountability above).

Menu today

Coffee + half and half, tea

B - eggnog protein shake (made with water)

L - cannon Light and fit

D/S - 3.4 oz turkey breast

I also have a chomps in my bag for the flight, just in case

Without the chomps, I'll be at 459 calories, 71 protein, 15 carbs

V - on track

E - I did 75 squats, 25 jumping jacks and will do some speed walking at the airport, pulling my suitcase. Light exercise day!

Have a marvelous Monday all!

Mornin'!

Today is the start of a modified CAMAW for me (actually, more like going back to basics - protein + unstarchy veggies + a few berries on my morning yogurt + lots of water!!). Thank God. I was 152.4 this morning and feel like a waterlogged blimp!! (calories and sodium intake was OK yesterday, but the previous three days were awful!! I think this is still the result of that - so hopefully this week will take care of it!)

I'm going to make some turkey gumbo today and do some kind of exercise (another thing I plan to do this week - do some kind of exercise every day). Otherwise....???

QOTD: I'll probably look at the sales - plus it's about time for DH to get a new laptop, so I'll see what's out there. Otherwise, gift-giving for my family is currently under discussion. No one needs/wants anything, so an idea was thrown out this morning that we do re-gifting this year - or else pick something up (cheap) at a secondhand store. This would be fine with me. I've been wanting to get rid of some stuff *anyway*, and it'd be great to hand it off to a family member rather than pitching it!

3 years 5 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with raspberries

MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: 2 TJ's chicken sausages, veggies

AS: Carbmaster yogurt - or turkey & cheese sticks

D: leftover turkey, veggies (or turkey gumbo if I make it)

ex: probably Zumba or Aqua Zumba

do you use protein powder? If so, check out this deal from Syntrax. Their Essence products are $10 (for a 2 lb tub) if you use the coupon code "Essence"). Must be a new line they're trying out. Chocolate and vanilla only. It's a protein blend - not isolate - but then, you're far out from surgery, so probably not a problem. I ordered a couple of tubs of each (I'd have ordered more, except the expiration date is August 2019)

G'morning everybody!!

bethmal - yay for finally breaking the stall, and during thanksgiving, no less!!! Wow!!

I am coming out of the fog of thanksgiving week. Didn't eat much, thanks giving is not my eat too much holiday - Halloween is a totally different story! It was mostly the family obligations, shopping and just not working for 5 days. I like my routines and happy to be back at them.

QOTD: I peruse the net but not obsessively. Although this year I'm on a hunt for flight tickets. For the first time in 25 years I've been here I was lackadaisical to buy our tickets to Italy and the prices have gone through the roof. We will be traveling right when everyone else is (DS can't be out of school before 12/20 and DH needs to be back by 1/5) so I'm in deep kimchi because I can't find anything under $2500 per person round trip.

Starting AMAW today and I'm already mourning my protein coffee and my afternoon cheese. But I can do this.

B: tons of black coffee and 4 turkey sausage links

L: two tuna packs (I used to have only one - but nowadays 2.5 oz is not enough, and with no veggies I gotta have something)

S : at a loss but I guess I'll have some jerky

D: turkey meatballs.

Have a great Monday. And to all the AMAW/CAMAW warriors, we can do this...good luck!

holy crap - $2500 is a LOT of money! I was looking at roundtrip tickets to India yesterday (not at Christmas time, though) and they were half that!

Ikr? But around xmas time the tickets are expensive. Same trip a month after or before I can get it for $1200. My mistake was that I didn't get them in Sept as I usually do. I kept thinking the prices will go down but I guess not!
