What's on your Sunday menu?
We will see. Sometimes the weather people get over excited when they hear snow.

Hi everyone! I'm slowly reconciling my mind with the understanding I have to return to work tomorrow. It's been a great, relaxing few days off. I did a 9-mile training run this morning, quick run to a store and have dinner prepped. I absolutely LOVE my new instant pot. I made a pot roast last night and steel cut oatmeal this morning. Tonight I'll cook my pork chops in it.
I spoke with my brother this morning, who I feel for. He's had a hard run with life, and health and is orrery much desperate. Good news is that his hip replacement is less than a month away. I told him to focus on surgery and recovery, then he can start dealing with life's trials again.
Qotd:is like to move a little further south if I could- to be nearer to my parents. It anywhere that's NOT in a major city, would do. I normally put up decorations right after thanksgiving, but that was motivated by anxious kids. They are mellow teens now and not so in a hurry. As long as I can't put everything up by 12/1, so they can begin to move the countdown calendar.

Good Afternoon/Evening,
Have a safe trip, Karen!
My mind is in denial that my 5 days off are over. This can't be happening...
My break was great! Wednesday I cleaned and decorated a little bit. Hubster had to work so it was a quiet day with just Chico. We played a lot and maybe a little too hard because he has been limping a little. I will definitely have to keep an eye on that. He's 12 but thinks he is a puppy. Thanksgiving was fun. I actually talked my family into taking a walk between dinner and dessert. It was about 27 degrees that day I immediately regretted my decision to walk but it was still fun to get out and move a little even though it was freezing. Friday and Saturday the hubster and I did small business shopping. No big box store shopping for us this weekend. Today I cleaned a little, decorated a little, food prepped a little, got my nail done and walked around the quaint little town of North East, Maryland. I got a couple of sugar-free salted caramels and he got a couple of sugar-free peanut butter cups.
My BIG NEWS is that my over-a-month stall has broken! So excited to change my ticker minus two more pounds. I can't say that I was perfect but Thanksgiving was not about food this year. I am so close to 100 i can almost taste it!
10 months out 163.5 pounds
B: PP chocolate shake
L: leftover Thanksgiving dinner - turkey, a bit of stuffing, green beans and a splash of gravy
D: hamburger and veggie soup (Thank you, Cassie, for the idea)
64+ ounces of water and vitamins
I better go finish decorating and getting ready for Monday.

Still figuring out what I can eat, trying new things.
B: 1 Ezekiel Bread with 1 poached egg
S: 1 Protein shake
L: 1/2 c homemade stew
S: 1 Protein shake
D:1/2 c homemade chilli
S: 2 soda crackers with 2 tsp peanut butter (recommended by nurse/dietician before bed, as I was waking up dizzy and nauseous - sugar levels out of wack - was originally having protein shake in evening, but they said to change that around)
Biggest change: now I love to brush and floss my teeth right before bed (old habit: chips and chocolate bar as reward for getting through the day - and then just falling asleep - so gross!)
Hope everyone has a good week!
Sunny from Canada! (well currently cloudy and drizzling, but hey it could be the white stuff -again!)
