wow - I can't believe I'm the first one this morning!

Weight is up to 153 this morning. Egad. I did overdo it yesterday, but not enough for THAT. Must be all the sodium. I'm going to cut my carbs back (I'm normally not a big carb counter anymore), go low on calories, and drink about a gallon of water today!!

Not much on the agenda today. I was going to make turkey stock, but I think I'll wait 'til Sunday since we're supposed to get a lot of snow. Seems like a good snow day activity...

Before I forget, Syntrax appears to be introducing a new line of products called Essence. You can get a tub of it in chocolate or vanilla from their Web site for $10!! I bought a couple of tubs of each - not sure there's a limit, but then again, expiration date is August 2019, so you don't want want to buy 100 of them! QOTD: Now that the holiday season is upon is, is there anything you hope you'll get? I wanted nothing until yesterday, when I noticed I didn't have enough linen napkins for everyone (I hosted Thanksgiving). I used my grandmother's good silver for once which looked ridiculous with paper napkins. So I suggested to my mother and sister that some nice cloth napkins from Bed Bath & Beyond would be great, if they're looking for gift ideas!!

Morning! I didn't overdo it yesterday- but I controlled what we had available to eat- so that made it easier. Ham is our biggest left over, which I'll glad eat with breakfast and dinner for the next few days. Our turkey breast was so tiny, there is barely any left, but it was super yummy!

We're at our last store for shopping now- one Christmas gift bought. It's a small Christmas this year so not much more to buy really. I bought the crockpot brand insta pot last night and am eager to go home and search recipes the rest of the day. And I found a deal in a hotel for our trip to Orlando for my 1/2 marathon- so that is fully booked now.

qotd: I ask for things that normally I'd put off buying for myself. So on my list is Michelle Obsma's Book, perfume, candles and cold weather running tights.

Good morning! Thinking many will be slow to rise or not even get on today... I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and wow how my tastes have changed. I used to love stuffing and green bean casserole and now they are meh... I fell in love with sweet potatoes (butter, splenda and cinnamon and a few marshmallows) wow. I way over ate as a result. I just could not get over how good they were. I had a sliver of apple pie that was barely sweet, in fact quite tart and just meh...Today I will have half a turkey sandwich for lunch then turkey and sweet potatoes for diner then it's back on plan Saturday.

QOTD - I was hoping I'd get a Dyson, but I went ahead and bought myself one because I got such an early black Friday deal. Now, I would love a new pair of Uggs - going for a tall pair now that they fit my calves and an iPad.

Amy there are massive iPad sales today! Costco and I believe Target and Walmart have the 32GB one on sales for $249 which is $70 off! You may want to nab one - we did :)

Oh yeah, I ordered it online from Costco! Though I did end up at Costco and Target this afternoon and they were not busy at all!

Amy, I enjoy my Uggs! They are very cozy. I have an ancient pair which are about 25 years old which are beige, and a black pair I bought earlier this year. Both are tall. I love high heeled boots and wear them frequently, but there are times when only Uggs will do!

LOVE UGGS!! I have several mini and short styles in various colors that I LOVE but I can't wait for tall!! I want the black pair. I love ALL my boots and booties but there is nothing like Uggs - like big hugs for your feet!

Good morning! Yesterday was a great day! Such a wonderful dinner, surrounded by people I love. I did really well with food and was not even tempted with pie. For some reason, sweets are no longer my thing. I literally just ate turkey, a spoonful of cranberry sauce and brussel sprouts.

QOTD- I have been wanting a cross necklace. I haven't seen one that I have loved though, so the search continues.

Food for today-

2 black coffee

2 eggs with 1/2 c. cottage cheese

turkey, cranberry sauce and brussel sprouts

probably more turkey

Lots and lots of water. I have not been drinking enough

I really need to up my exercise. I hope that the rain will let up long enough for a walk if not, I will work out in the garage. My son is a competitive powerlifter and he really wants me to start working out with him. We have a full gym in our garage.
