What's on your Thanksgiving Day menu, RNYers,?
Mornin' All, and Happy Thanksgiving!!
I'm enjoying a few minutes of peace and quiet before I have to start up with the cooking again. It's really just the turkey, stuffing, and gravy today - so not too much. At least I don't have to worry about the house since it'll just be my immediate family!
QOTD: my sweet potato casserole, which unfortunately I can't have much of!! I also love my cranberry sauce, although I make that at other times of the year, too - I like to spoon a little of it on my Greek yogurt.
3 years 5 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt with homemade raspberry sauce
MS: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: we'll be having dinner around 3:00, so just a light lunch. Maybe another yogurt or some baby carrots & hummus
D: about 3 oz turkey, a little sweet potato casserole, a little stuffing, and a little cranberry sauce. Veggies depend on what my sister brings over. If it's swimming in fat, then not much (if any). If I can handle dessert, then pumpkin yogurt or a small piece of crustless protein pumpkin pie
ES: may save my dessert for this instead of eating it right after dinner (since dinner is early...)
Homemade cranberry sauce in yogurt - yummm! It would go well in my homemade cottage cheese too!

I've been using this recipe for the last two or three years. OMG - fabulous! NOT bariatric-friendly, but then, I just put a spoonful of it in my yogurt (I do use Splenda, but it only puts a dent in it!!)

Good morning! I'm going to post on both!
im also incredibly thankful for the support and friendships I've found here.
qotd: mashed potatoes for sure I'm going to indulge in a small helping today if it's an option (not sure why it wouldn't be)
eats: morning is coffee and maybe an isotech42 protein drink, string cheese, and a hard boiled egg. Our hosts (DHs aunt and uncle) stocked their fridge with healthy things and protein snacks!

Good morning menu friends! I am so thankful for all of you and for the surgery that gave me a second chance at life 6 years ago. Weight today 126.4 and Lily and I have our 4 miles done this morning. We're headed to the in laws in a bit for Thanksgiving. QOTD pumpkin pie but that's a no go now. So the post surgery favorite is cranberry sauce. Accountability was on track for exercise and food yesterday. Heres todays plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3.5 oz turkey 1/4 c cranberries and 1/4 c green beans D more of the same S string cheese if needed. Lily and I will walk at least another mile at some point today. Enjoy your day and make the best choices you can! Now to find some coffee!
