What's on your Wednesday (Thanksgiving Eve) Menu?
I've been doing the hokey pokey with the Insurance Company. I received a prescription from my doctor at the hospital when I was done with my EGD. So I faxed it to my mail order pharmacy on the 11/12, so I kept looking to find out when it would be shipped-it was there and then it disappeared. The claims showed it was paid $970 for carafate suspension, I had no idea it was that expensive. So I called the mail order pharmacy yesterday and tried to find out what was going on. I as a patient am not allowed to fax them a prescription- it can only be faxed by my doctor. I can snail mail it only. So no carafate is on its way. I had to contact my doctors office to have them fax it in, rather than a delay while I mail it in. They also would not refill my omeprazole, even though they told me to throw out the one I received as when I got it my doctor didn't want me to take it, being thrifty I gave it to my Mom to help her out. I know you aren't supposed to do that, but I figured since it is now OTC it wouldn't matter and it saves her a ton of money.
QOTD: neither, I don't eat either one.
I've not been on track the last week. Self-pity and bad choices mean my weight is up 4.5lbs. I am back on track now, yesterday 1000 calories, 77 protein, 33 fat, 102 carbs, carbs were high but at least I got all my protein in.
It's just me and my Mom for Thanksgiving so I'm doing take-out Mexican food from the restaurant across the street from where I work. I'll do protein forward and should be OK. I'm going to work both days, can't afford not to.
I had major work done to my yard, they cleaned it up and blew the leaves off of my roof and cut out some shrubs and annoying trees. It cost a lot, but it looks so much better. I'm going to have them come once a month and then maybe I can stay on top of it.
I don't remember if I said that the other cat has an owner, the other day it had fresh flea stuff on it. So I'm keeping the cat door closed and if it comes in I will chase it out. I don't need to be feeding another cat that does not belong to me. My friend has not moved in yet, still working on it. I wish he would be here for Thanksgiving but is not interested in Mexican. If it weren't so late maybe I could talk him into cooking. He is one of the reasons I gained my weight back before, he is a really good cook and did not help my self-control efforts. He is trying to have WLS so it should not be an issue going forward.
Have a great holiday everyone!

Good morning~ Yay! It's 'Friday' and there is hardly anyone here at work. I have some reports to get done and it should be a chill day w/little interruptions -good! Tonight we are going out for a Habit burger (on my mind since yesterday's QOTD), doing a little last minute grocery shopping and watching Harry Potter. Shocking - Rob has never seen or read any so I'm pretty excited for him!
Today is my 2 years surgiversary - While I am still a few pounds from goal I have learned so much. I'm so grateful for my RNY and the future I was gifted as a result. I'm stronger than I think, I can survive almost anything, I can mess up and recover and most importantly I will never give up!
QOTD - In my world - there are certain meats for certain holidays. Don't mess with my turkey on Thanksgiving!
Accountability - I think I peaked on my run away snacking -I made myself sick last night eating peanuts. Enough.
