Good morning and welcome the short week. Our family starts coming in for the holidays tonight. Today will probably be a long day as any clients who are trying to get things done before the holiday will want to address them before the close of the day today. Inevitably, on Wednesday, some 20-something who is doing nothing for the holiday except going to a bar with his friends Wednesday night and to his parent's house for Thanksgiving, will have some crisis that cannot wait until Monday.

QOTD: We went to Bora Bora for our 25th anniversary in 2015. Next winter break we are going on a cruise to Australia and new Zealand to celebrate my daughter's college and my son's high school graduations in May of 2020.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Light and fit

Lunch: Fish

Snack: Deli turkey and cheese

Dinner: Unknown, leftover hamburger if family dinner isn't on plan

Have a great day everybody.

its going to feel a lot different when my high schooler is off to college. We still have one 9th grader but two out of the house will be a big change.

Mornin'!

I have to go to the grocery store this morning to get my Thanksgiving stuff - I avoided it like the plague this weekend - hopefully it won't be too bad during the day today! (although I bet all the retirees will be there!). I'm meeting a friend for lunch and have several other errands I need to run sometime today. Busy the next couple of days, too. How did I ever manage to work?

QOTD: I've been to a few far-flung places in South America, Africa, and eastern/southeastern Asia, so I had to use a distance calculator to figure out the furthest. And the winner is....Singapore!

eating was OK yesterday; weight hasn't budged. Lunch out today and tomorrow and Thanksgiving on Thursday - several hurdles to get through this week. Cripes.

3 years 5 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries

MS: coffee with half & half

L: probably two tacos

AS: protein/Miralax shake

D: TJ's grilled chicken slices or chicken sausage, veggies

I'm back! Hubby and our boxer Lily and I have been traveling and so internet access was not possible. We've worked at a church camp near Eva,Tennessee, went to a week long meeting at Memphis and then headed to Dubach Louisiana at a church camp there. Our last stop was a beautiful church camp near Hot Springs, Arkansas. I've painted, weeded and planted flowers, replaced windows and learned some basic woodworking skills as we built swingsets and then swings to go on them. None of this would have been possible before my surgery so I am SO thankful every single day. Sunday we head an hour away to the Midwest Distribution Center near Chatham Il to work for a month. They prepare personal dignity kits and flood buckets along with other items shipped in the US and around the world. We'll be helping with the volunteers and doing inventory. I'm glad to be back so I can get back in a routine. Our last two months our coworkers wanted to eat out all the time and my weight was going up. I finally put my foot down and said no. Weight is headed down again now. Bad weather made exercise tricky too as when it rains at home I go downstairs and do the bike or treadmill. Lily and I have our 4 miles in already. Weight today 126.2(yikes!) and heres todays food B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 2 slices deli peppered turkey 1 slice cheese 3 baby carrots D 4 oz taco meat with 1/2 c lettuce and tomato and a T of salsa S 1 small apple with 1 T peanut butter. Off to find some coffee now!

Good to see you Karen! What a great trip you had. My weight is up too (122.2 vs my previous 115-118). It has been hovering here since around mid-summer. My clothes still fit okay but it still bugs me to be at this weight point.
