I'm calling this GOAL!!!

Thank you Beth! it is exciting and a little scary to be almost ready to stop losing - I feel I've been in this mode for a long time, and mentally/behaviorally am used to this lane and am comfortable in it - I know where the guardrails are, etc. I'm happy to be here, but nervous about maintenance looming on the horizon!

Congratulations! If you are declaring goal my suggestion is focusing on maintaining and that transition rather being in weight loss mindset.

I remember joining my gym like 20 months ago and the fitness manager asked me my goals and I said not weight loss- He was surprised... He said no one ever says that.

The surprising reality is not much changes immediately in the day to day- that needs to be very gradual but it is our brains we need to deal with. Maintenance is a new ball game.

You have done really well. Celebrate!

Thank you Cynthia! Even though I declared it, I will hold off adding more foods and calories until I confirm my body fat being in a good place when I get my Dexa scan, which I will have within the next very few weeks (in early December - waiting for the Dexa traveling truck to be closer, so I don't drive for hours to visit it). I was just so excited to see that "3" instead of a "4" on the scale! I know I do not feel that I need to weigh in the 120's. Despite Diana Vreeland's statement ( "a woman can never be too rich or too thin"), the 130's are my goal. I'm just not sure where in them is best to stop before beginning to add more in. But I do feel a lot of nervousness about transitioning to maintenance, and about my ability to stabilize and remain in the 130s. This fear should work to my advantage, even though it's uncomfortable to feel. The wonderful thing is that most of the time my hunger remains minimal and easily satisfied, which has got to be a help!

Thank you so much Liz! If I can maintain as well as you I will be very happy! It's a little scary, to be honest!
