I'm calling this GOAL!!!

I started my pre-op diet at 353.6, two days before the end of May 2017. My BMI was a whopping 53.8.
Luckily, I wasn't diagnosed with heart disease or diabetes, but I had a couple of terribly sore knees, and all of the other pain and unhappiness that goes with being SMO.
I weighed in at 335.6 the day of my RnY, June 12, 2017.
I have been a little uncertain of what my goal should be. My surgeon, the awesome and Viking-handsome Dr. Billy, told me prior to surgery that he could get me to 200 pounds. When I protested that I wanted to be under 150, he said "then you're going to have to do everything right". I passed 150 a little while ago, but knew that was just an interim goal.
Today I weighed in at 139.6! At 5'8", my BMI is now 21.2. I've lost 214 pounds.
I took this photo to commemorate it - I stepped off to snap it because holding the phone put me at 140 again! Luckily my scale keeps displaying the number for a few seconds afterwards.
I am going to continue to lose - I actually like the sound of 137, it sounds lean and elegant to me, and that's going to be my next mini goal. But regardless, I am calling being in the 130s my overall and primary GOAL!
I don't know how much more I'll lose - I want to have wiggle room when I do transition into maintenance, and don't want to be right on the edge. So I'm not yet done, but as of today I will consider myself to have hit goal!
Then the really hard work will begin - maintaining my loss! It's a scary and sobering thought, and I'm not ****y about it. But I am hopeful that by keeping to the rules and by keeping coming here I too can do this!
It's been a fantastic trip, and I am so incredibly grateful to my surgeon, and to this site, and to all of you here for your support, kindness, and good advice!

Thank you Joyce! I feel like I've graduated, even if only from kindergarten! I've lost weight many times and regained just as many, so I am far from ****y as I said, but being aware of the potential for failure is actually a good thing for my personality - it helps me to stay motivated when I know that I have the potential to screw up if I'm not careful. Still, with all that being said, it's good to claim goal and to enjoy this victory!
