Hi Peach - sorry to hear about your neck; hope you are still able to do your race! I love your wigs; they look so natural and pretty. Also, is that your hubby photobombing your first one?
I have so much to do this morning, like pack for my week at my sisters! I leave for the airport in 12 hours and I'm working all day today so better get on the stick as soon as I log off here -- fortunately, I'm pretty fast these days.
QOTD - I am not a black friday goer, but my niece and nephew are teens now and I am thinking to see if they want to go brave the chaos and I'll buy them their christmas presents then. I think my niece might go for it, not sure about my nephew....on the other hand, neither are early risers so they might both decline.
Accountability - I came home yesterday and had cheese...but then when I got to dinner, they had all day breakfast so i had half an omelette too...way over in everything for the day as a result.
9 months out, 158.5
Menu today is coffee and half and half, plus tea later
B - L&F Greek
L - Eggnog protein shake with fair life skim
D - 1 chomps, 1 cheesestick
puts me at 584/67/24 for the day
My photo friday is appropriate for the QOTD and the 2nd is my lovely aunt and myself at her birthday dinner last week.

Hello Everyone:
I love the new wigs, Peach. The styles complement your face very well. I'm sorry to hear about your sore neck, especially since it's happening right before a race. Maybe a little warm, moist heat may ease some of the muscle pain in your neck.
I'm very frustrated. I can't seem to let the same work issue go. It's been on my mind just too much!
I've already written about the fact that I took this past week off for vacation, but ended up going in and working on Saturday through Thursday (except Wednesday) to finish some incomplete charts. I was told that I had deadline of 11/15 or my salary would be reduced by 5% for 3 months. After the 3 months, it would be up to my boss whether he re-instates my original salary.
Just prior to my vacation, I e-mailed my boss and the person responsible for enforcing this policy whether I had a 1-week extension on my deadline because I had pre-approved scheduled vacation for this week. Neither of them answered my e-mail so I believed that the original deadline of 11/15 that I was given was correct.
I caught up with my charts late Thursday afternoon (11/15). I sent a brief e-mail to my boss to let him know that I met the deadline. He responded with an e-mail stating, "Don't worry. You're OK. You have an extra week to complete the charts because of your vacation."
Since I received that e-mail, I have been totally perplexed. I don't understand why my boss couldn't have told me this sooner so I could have salvaged the remainder or my vacation. The next time I see my boss, I just don't know how I'm going to react.
QOTD: I have never been a Black Friday shopper. In fact, I really don't like to shop in stores. I prefer to shop online. But, I do like to cyber-shop on Black Friday. Online, the sales are better on Black Friday than on Cyber Monday. I have my eye on a knee-length down coat to wear when I take long walks with my dog in the winter.
PHOTOS: My photos are from my morning walk with Jake. We had a mini-blizzard that started Thursday afternoon and continued into this morning. It left almost a foot of snow on the ground!
MEALS FOR TODAY:
Breakfast: 8 oz nonfat milk; sf chocolate syrup; protein powder
Snack: 2 oz low-fat Colby Jack cheese
Lunch: 2.5 oz tuna pack; 1 tbsp no sugar-added sweet pickle relish
Snack: 4 oz L&F Greek yogurt
Dinner: 3 oz pulled pork
That was very unprofessional on your boss's part and the HR. They never closed the loop with you, I would have been mad. You should ask for another week of vacation.

Good morning! I need to tell you all about this interview! It was intense and FUN. Never thought I'd say that about an interview! It was a group interview. 4 candidates and 5 managers all asking all 4 of us questions. Then we split off and had 2 one-on-one interviews each with a different one of the managers. And there was a written essay exam portion. I had to write an essay on how to make a PB&J. Some of the questions they asked were:
Besides saying family, friends, pets, or customer service--what are you passionate about? (I answered by talking about my love of YA literature and gardening and canning/preserving)
if you could only watch one TV show for the rest of your life, what would you watch? (I answered Game of Thrones)
if you could have one super power, what would it be and why? (I answered that I'd love to control natural elements-earth, water, fire, air. I explained that I had a lofty dream of opening public food parks--gardens where hungry civilians could come harvest what they need for their families, free of charge. Having control of the earth and weather (air) would help!)
my PB&J essay started thusly: "Ingredients are key for a world-class PB&J. Reach into your bread bag for two slices of bread, avoiding the first slice. It has been exposed to the elements and is undesirable."
I got an email at the end of the day yesterday to set up the final interview, which is a video conference with the director of the department, who is located in CA. So...I made it through yesterday's interview!
qotd: I'm not a die hard BF shopper. My ex husband's family were crazy about it to the point I thought they ruined thanksgiving. It was all about planning who was going where to get what, scouring the ads, etc. DH and I check out a few stores and pick up a few gifts here and there but usually I have to work, and we don't have any specific things we're scouting for.
Breakfast: protein shake and coffee
Lunch: We're having a chili feed for lunch at work today, there will be a number of different chili's and soups to try, but I plan on being prudent about targeting ones that look more protein-heavy, and I hope someone brings a really spicy one!
dinner: on my own tonight, might just have some tuna salad.
Pics are 9 month update. Pre-op to 9 months, two are 8 months to 9 months (two different shirts. The gray one is tradition now but the pink shows the changes better), and finally, my interview outfit.
