Thank you Sheila! I know you are right, and I'm all over that in clothing, confident as all get out! But I'm not in any way confident when out of clothes. As to men not paying attention, that's never been my experience: I think they absorb everything, are aware of everything, notice every bit, darn it. It's ok, I'll work it out, it just makes me anxious. Maybe I'll talk to someone about it, because I don't want to be so negative that I just stop trying to find someone great and build a bigger life for myself.
I agree that we are our own worst critic. I see the skin hanging from my body and think it's gross but this is me and that skin is where I came from. I try to not let it hold me back from where I want to go. Any man (that is worth it) is going to look past the skin to see the beauty in you!

I had to search and wait patiently for many many years. I didn't get married until I was 42! I wanted to make sure it was the right one... being single was hard but being married is hard too. Just a different kind of hard. Bob walked into my life when I least expected it. I knew he was a keeper.

How wonderful - I'm glad that you found the love of your life! I'm sure he is an absolute keeper! I've been married, and have had other relationships as well, and have actually been given a few opportunities to re-marry through the years, opportunities to which I did not say yes. But it's a new day, and I am open, and hopeful that despite being nervous, I will be fortunate enough find the right guy.
Good morning! You can search for ice-breaking questions on google. That's how I've been getting questions for the VSG thread lately.
It is DH's Birthday today, and sadly may be the last one he really understands (Alzheimer's). We are celebrating with friends here in Florida.
QOTD: I always have projects (large or small). It is in my nature to manufacture them if necessary. The biggest one is replacing all the countertops in Florida with granite.i might replace the appliances too but am up in the air about that. I also have a mirror to paint for the small bathroom. I found one the right size (but wrong color) for $12.50 yesterday. Score! It actually will be good to have it match the trim color like the frame I put around the medicine cabinet mirror.
