Good for you for taking back the holidays! My sister and I did that with Thanksgiving and it's made a huge difference for us (and her kids).

I haven't heard or seen anything from Janet for a few days, I have her and her DW in my thoughts. They are going through so much.

Good morning everybody. I got my hair cut yesterday. The stylist said that it did not appear that I was losing hair. Although, how can you even tell with a 50-ish man? I can't remember when it would thin if it does but I thought that it was 3-6 months. I'm going to the Blackhawks game tonight, hopefully they can snap there eight game losing streak.

QOTD; we are hosting. My wife's parents will fly in on Monday and then my daughter will fly in from college on Tuesday. Looking forward to seeing everybody. We hired a service to decorate our house with lights this year - we are happy with the way it came out.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Light and fit

Lunch: Catered but will get chili if its carb bomb

Snack: Spirella

Dinner: Pork

Have a great day, all.

I started noticing some extra strands of hair in my comb at about four or five months out, I think. It went on for maybe three months - but I lost hardly anything. Certainly no one else noticed - and I wouldn't have if I hadn't seen the extra strands of hair in my comb.

Good Morning! Thank you for starting us out this morning. Another busy day here too, but I am getting quite a bit done staying tucked into this private office. Although I am scheduled to be on vacation next week with all the updates and changes we are going through I will probably log in for a few hours on a few of the days just to stay up to speed but for the moment I am doing good on tying up a few projects I am in the middle of.

QOTD: I think we are planning to make turkey and the fixings for us 3 and then we will probably take a plate to my mother in laws unless she decides she wants to come hang out for a bit. The first part of the week, Emily and I plan to do our usual cookie baking so on Thanksgiving Day we can deliver platters to the fire and police stations around us (usually try and do 2 of each.) It's our tradition we started probably 8 or so years ago.

Time since surgery: 4 years 3 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Jalapeno/Monterey cheese sausage, carbmaster yogurt, and decaf latte

D: Grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese and Alfredo sauce on top of TJ spiral carrots, small spinach salad, sliced fruit, and 2 squares dark chocolate

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF syrup and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: An hour stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1222 Protein:126 Carbs:89 Fat:45

Have a great one!

They seem to enjoy it! One year Emily got to sit in the fire truck at one of the stations. Some years we have also done it for Christmas.

Great tradition Kelly! My father(retired) and brother are career firefighters and I was a volunteer firefighter/EMT for 13 years.
